XP-2200 - Setting Up a Printer

I absolutely detest these wifi printers. They take an age to set up and, move them once to a new location, and they are thrown. What's wrong with adding a back-up wire?

Agree, these are exceedingly poorly designed. The WiFi connection is so dubious. I have to reset the WiFi connection every time I want to print, even though the Printer status says WiFi signal strength is 'excellent'.

What sort of a cvnt printer disables the scanner when the ink runs out? One made by t055ers like Epson.

The worst printer I have ever bought. Just will not connect to the router. Insists on taking a decade to perform even the simplest functions, automatically connects to direct but then won't actually connect to anything, seems to only want to connect to my phone all the time and then fails, cannot be switched from direct to wi-fi, asks for network key then fails to connect that way. Just don't bother with Epson.

indeed I have problems with the Wifi -via router connection as well, does more not want to scan a document and is a wonder when it does it

for me it did not start and therefore also completed the initialization / loading of the ink

Done everything as described but my printer keeps givin back white sheet. What I should do? I've already tried 3 times to clean the printer head but the onlu thing i've achieved was to consume al the ink in the cartridge

The ink holder won't stay out to get cartridges installed. It always return to its housing.

Am trying to set up my new printer but when I switch on there are 2 flashing green lights on the left and 2 flashing red lights on the right. The cartridge tray is tucked in on the right and I cannot pull it to the left, as was suggested to one person, as it will not budge. This is the Epson XP 2205

Help me, please, to understand what's going on with my printer 😭 I did everything until the cartridges installation. The all lights started blinking and it is impossible to install cartridges as the cartridge tray remains hidden in the corner of the printer. What I have to do? Thank a million!

This printer is absolute shit. Extraordinarily overcomplicated. Why can't you just connect it to your PC, download the drivers, and click a button to print things? I don't understand why everything has to be wireless these days, especially seeing as the printer has wired power going into it anyway.

My Epson XP2200 printer is virtually brand new. When I tried to insert the ink cartridges I was unable to, until I discovered a small piece of packing material in the slot for the cartridge. The functions of the buttons are not very clear. The instructions are mainly online and very tedious to follow. After only a few (successful) prints, the paper no longer loads for no apparent reason. It is becoming increasingly difficult to get specialist help with technical issues. I am NOT satisfied with this machine, I bought it to replace an also relatively new Canon which suddenly had an issue with the printer head. I am an academic and need frequent prints when I am not in the university. My advice to anyone who needs frequent printing work done: If you can afford it, buy a more advanced machine. These cheap ones are not worth the money. Otherwise there are specialist shops who offer printing services.
