XP DEUS depth test and deepest settings

In this video I will show you the difference between the deepest XP DEUS program, which is the RELIC program and the other programs. The tested object is a 20 mm silver medallion buried at 25 cm (10 inches). You will see that in this depth we have a detection only with the RELIC program. The difference between the RELIC program and the others is that the REACTIVITY is set to ZERO and this is the most important EXPERT settings which affects the detection depth. As well, we have the TX POWER = 3 in the RELIC program, but trust me, you do not need TX POWER greater then 2. It is tested and TX POWER = 3 is not deeper then TX POWER = 2, but it is more unstable. So, TX POWER = 3 makes the things worst. As well, if you set the AUDIO RESPONSE to 6 or 7 you will hear the deep signals better. And at the end, do not forget about the ground balance! Set the ground balance a little bit (3-5) lower then the PUMPING mode shows and you will hit one even two inches deeper! And believe me, set it properly and the XP DEUS is deep as the E-Trac in manual sensitivity mode and the PRO coil. Very deep metal detector for this small size coil.

I would like to point out 1 important factor here on this test. You're coil is scraping the surface with no hindrance in-between. Like tall grass or natural obstacles keeping you from getting the coil to ground level. I appreciate your taking the time to do this and giving optimal settings for depth. And the most important is to set the ground balance manually a little bit lower (3-5) then the PUMPING or TRACKING ground mineralization numbers. If you work on the factory fixed ground balance (90) you will have 10-15% lower depth. You do not need TX POWER greater then 2!

You are welcome! I do not like too big coils, so for now I will stick to the base one. When the announced 11" coil is released I will consider, but the 34x28cm is too large for me.

I appreciate what you are doing here, however, it is not "real" conditions and I'm wondering what settings I would use in some of the ground I come up against. Not wanting to be a party pooper but this material looks loosely packed and is coarse looking, would the same apply in wet clay, heavy ground or mineralised soil? I still gave you a like and thumbs up because your test will definitely help some detectorists out there. Cheers.

The 13” but the 9” is the best overall coil, it’s has the best separation, has real decent depth, and is lightweight.

To go deeper you need slow recovery speed, but of course you have to decide this on a base of the place, where you hunt. Reactivity = 0 is suitable only for clean sites, where you want to hit as deep as is possible.

By my opinion the DEUS is the best all around metal detector on the market and you can not go wrong with it. Only have in mind that you should charge the coil every 10 hours and you should know that the DEUS coil can not transmit the signal under water.

Can you write down this program please budy in your writing bellow mate. I'm new to the deus and I'm grttin disheartened as I haven a clue if mine is goin deep or not or if there is nothin deep in my fields. I have done a deep setting from a video of KZbin but everythin I dig is only at a 1inch deep. On the other hand my mate with me has a Q40 and he was laughing at me yesterday as he could see my frustration he was digging very small targets at 10 and bellow inches. I understand I have a long way to go to learn. But would like a program I no that's deep. Also I'm struggling to understand what means what and when and why I need to change settings. I was lead to believe that when changing a program one had to lift the head four feet above the ground to let the program properly adjust before using it ... I am getting lead flax bale seals at 12" plus in GM Power wheras Relic won't get them ... strange in it ????

In some conditions like beach hunting, or heavy mineralised soils the E-Trac can go deeper. On the other hand in trashy areas the DEUS can not be beaten. If you chose the E-Trac forget about the automatic sensitivity mode. It is complete nonsense by my opinion. I have a video in which I demonstrate how shallow it is.

I have both and I can say they are probably the best detectors on the market, but the E-Trac is SLOW !!! and HEAVY!!! On the other hand the DEUS is the fastest detector on the market, it is light, compact, you have many factory programs with different purposes, it can be updated !!!
