Awesome video as always, Gary. Very informative and well presented. Ignore all the comments implying that the Deus 2 isn't a great advancement from the original. Those comments must be from people that are still using the same smartphone and computer they had 10 years ago and are oblivious to the fact that technology evolves.

Best demo I ever have seen! and very relevant for me to, I am located on the Faroe Islands and here we have bout salty and magnetic soil, and very often get very magnetic soil, so you just demotrated the excact problems we have here. Glad I all ready have ordered the Deus II :-) I have been using the Deus for about 2 years now, so am very excited to try the Deus II on same fields :-)

With a super fine target selection / rejection and fast recovery speed, wireless and lightweight, up to 60 ft deep....I think not !

@@The-skillschool not the waterproof I'll give you that lol, but the other benefits your suggesting in this video. The Nox also has fast recovery speed, rejects coke in Field 1 (without the need for notching as appears to be the case with the D2? ) and still smacks a hammy below coke the same as your test and in reality who many folk notch or reject in the UK anyways for fear of missing a lead pellet lol I do like the look of the D2, the salt feature (Tarsacci style) is interesting, especially if you can use it in a land program for old pastures that are salty from the by products of grazing farm animals and the seemingly constant slurry spreading. Please give the coke 2" above a cut hammy a try, it fools the Nox in Field 2 when it has a gap and is a possible hunting scenario on un ploughed pasture as the use of coke came long after hammys were out of circulation 👍👍

@1:09 just to the top left of your head there was a shooting star. Im watching on a 4k 65 inch monitor that I use for mapping and I had the video set at highest resolution of 1080p and you can see the shooting star. Is that an omen for me to get it =)

Great video Gary. shocking to see higher freq didnt detect the coin spill, i run my 11" x35 around the 27 khz.. Using either the hot program, the sifter program, or the sonar program. also or even worse was the lower freq missing the small gold. Deus II is now on pre order. I have a prolific area that contains a highly mineralised section (mix of medieval pottery dump and iron stone) and was already very interested to see how the D2 might help. Looks like it might solve my problem there. Great demonstration of the more general SMF advantages too 👍🏼

@@dannylocke570 many other brands simply reshape their best seller and call it v2, but buyers get the same toy with one or two different things (tones, screen, coffee option or any valueless stuff). 10 years ago we made a huge step thanks to Deus 1, and it’s even more a huge one with Deus 2, I think this is Gary’s point. Deus 1 remains an amazing machine compared to 1/ what XP itself created before and 2/ other machines from other brands. Deus 2 is just maybe much more innovative and efficient compared to Deus 1 than Deus 1 was compared to others 😉

I would love to see this heads to head on a buried copper vs the Deus 2. Am I understanding right? I will be able to exchange lower shaft' of the Deus 1 and 2 on the same cuff? Hoping to bring both into the New England woods with me, ferreting out early settler sites

Great video , looks a good machine , tried one today but it has a major flaw with hammered coins on edge , except for very tip of coil it is dead as it follows profile of coil , but ok in other direction , this needs correcting asap by xp.

This is exactly my thoughts Charles. If you were to notch out coke at 23-25 and placed a hammered with ID 23 over it, surely it would notch out the hammered also.
