I know Im abit late but I have to agree, I am also a left handed artist and its funny bcuz now its 2020 and xp now has a 22r pro that also comes with the glove and yet they didn't make any design changes to the glove for left handed people. A minor thing but still I thought it was interesting. However I do like the fact that the new 22r pro pens no longer require you to charge them.

Hi, thanks for the review. Very unbiased and you get to the main points. I have just bought one of these, and been using it for 5 weeks now. I used to own the old Wacom Cintiq 12WX, and have only used Wacom tablets for about 18 years now. So when I was looking around for another wacom, I had to do a lot of research to decide if an alternative would be ok as a professional. One thing I don't agree with is you say that this model is not for a professional. I am one, and I find it quite suitable, even coming from a Wacom only background. But, like you point out, there are some things missing. A few points that I would like to see changed. 1. Parallax. The screen is a bit too thick for my liking. It is however the exact same as the older Wacom Cintiq 22HD. But, as things are progressing so fast with these tablets, it is essential to have the thinnest possible screen! 2. Pen nibs. I had a problem with the set of nibs I received in my setup. For some reason, they where softer than normal, and after using one nib for about 2 weeks, it had worn down to a point already, and ended up scratching the plastic screen guard slightly. Not something you notice when the screen is on, but still, it is there. But XP Pen where very good and sent me a new set of nibs and a new screen protector, if I wanted to install that. The new nibs seem to be made of a harder plastic, like the wacoms, and so far have not been wearing down. 3. Stand. Here I agree with you. They need to come up with something different and new. This one is fine. It's solid when locked into position, and has a good range of tilt settings. I move mine slightly off the desk at the bottom, so that I can have it closer to me. And I find the bottom stand gets in the way. 4. Side buttons. The reason I bought this model, is for the express buttons on the side. Very important for me, as that is how I like to setup my workspace. I hardly use the keyboard, so this was perfect. They have a very good amount of programming options for the keys, 16 different settings in all, so no problem there. But, I find working in a dark room, or at night, that the keys disappear, and I struggle to find the one I am looking for just by feel alone. XP should make the keys a slightly lighter grey, or maybe outline the buttons with a lighter colour, just to make them more recognizable out the corner of your eye. One other point, is I keep bumping some of them on the right hand side (I am right handed) when I go to use the on screen menus. So maybe here they need to set the keys sunk into the tablet more, and not so sticking up as they are now. 5. Pen. Here again, the pen is one reason I got this. Love that it has over 8000 levels of pressure sensitivity! I have a very soft touch, and this pen performs extremely well with light pressure. The only gripe I have is the soft squishy feel built into the pen. The wacom pens are all much "harder", and don't have that much give in the nib travel. I prefer that feeling. As that is what most real pencils and pens feel like. This is a bit like drawing with a soft felt tip pen. Some people prefer this, but for me, I want to harder wacom experience. So, all in all, a very worthwhile product, especially for the price here in South Africa! As a wacom here is triple the price! So really not and option for most people. I am loving the size screen, and I find myself wanting to draw a lot more now. But, I still have my heart set on a Wacom with that new thin screen! Maybe I will save up for one in the future.

Thanks for sharing your story, that was great to hear Clint! Keep that up fella. Very valuable for the community to read these kinds of things! I've used more modern tablets as you might have seen on my channel, like the 27QHD Touch and the Dell Canvas - Being a working professional I can only give my opinion about how I fee. Of course a pr' can use anything but it's a matter of if I'd want to use it or if I'd rather spend more and offset it against my earnings because that's worth doing to make more money in the long run - in this case I say yes. You're coming from the 12WX. I had the 21UX which is from the same range. An older Wacom. What's that? About 8 years? I think that's when I got mine. I didn't have the 12WX so I'll have to compare against the 21UX. 1) Parallax on the 21UX was quite a lot compared to modern Wacom's and other tablets so I'm surprised you were bothered so much by this. Maybe you were just expecting better due to phone and iPad screens, I'm not sure? I didn't have the 22HD either. I skipped that one and waited but I thought the parallax on it was fine. I'll show the Parallax off in the comparison video for anyone else reading this but it wasn't 'world ending' from my point of view. I can't really remember it so it can't of been a massive issue. 2) Nibs. Mine were really hard! I sanded them a bit after the review to get them softer. As I said in the video though I'd like to see rubber nibs, spring nibs, felt nibs etc. 3) Stand. I might show this on the Ergotron arm. Then again, you can just follow one of my other Ergotron videos! I think a good arm will vastly improve this tablet though!! What would you do with the stand? (Other than having it on an arm? 4) Hotkeys. Ooooh... Illuminated hotkeys!! That would be good, wouldn't it!!! 5) Pen. Wacom stylus all the way for me but as I said, they've got 30yrs experience and the patents to make sure nobody can touch their stuff. They've done the R&D and they put the time into the little things. When I've talked to them I've realised how much they concentrate on the materials etc. If brands like XP-Pen can do the same then they will gain a loyal following. It's good to know your experience on the Stylus. What do you think and how the actual tablet feels when you're holding that? Thanks again for the feedback Clint - Love hearing what people think of tech I'm looking at. Especially people who have used it longer than me. One big question I want to ask... Customer Services! Have you had any experience with them? What were they like?
@clintsuttonillustrationani14616 жыл бұрын
Hi Lawrence, thanks for the reply. Yup, the parallax thing is a strange beast. When you do have to live with it, it kinda goes away and you don't really notice it. I think my problem was that I recently had the chance of working on one of the latest Wacom Cintiq Pros, 32inch, and it got my brain noticing parallax more. Stand, I have never tried an Ergotron arm yet, so can't really say if that's the route I would take. I kinda like having the monitor off the desk a bit, towards my lap. So, if someone could come up with a stand that allows that, I would be interested. I suppose the E arm would allow it, haha! "What do you think and how the actual tablet feels when you're holding that?" I like it. I think it has a good thickness that you can hold onto sometimes around the edges. I generally keep my left hand up on the side with the keys, so nice to have a bit of space there. I also love the size. When I was using the Cintiq 32. I found it too big. Having to reach over quite far to find the menus etc. So for me, this size is perfect. Would be nice if Wacom did a Cintiq 22 pro version, but don't think they will. As for customer service, that is one of the reasons I got this model and make. I delt with a local guy, who represents XP pen in SA, and does all the importing and feedback. I have had nothing but awesome service from them and XP themselves. No qualms there! And I think XP are very aware of how creatives want them to make changes. They have done some huge leaps in a very short time! Something interesting. When I was ordering mine, it was at the same time that the big animation studio, TriggerFish (they did Khumba and Zambezi) here in SA were looking at getting a few for their studio space. They ended up getting 4 put in. Wacoms are the best, but here in SA, are unfortunately incredibly expensive with all the import and tax duties added on!!
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
If you've been working with older tablets the the 32" seems like a huge difference doesn't it! But it's not too different from a lot of other modern tablets in truth. You want an arm but you want to have the tablet slightly on your lap too - I do have my Tablet on the Ergotron arm and it comes across the desk and slightly onto my lap. It all depends on which arm you get, how you mount it and how you sit. Just measure up properly and you'll be fine. A lot of people clamp them on the back of the desks and they don't reach as far. Watch my Ergotron install videos and you'll see I have mine in the perfect spot!! Glad to hear you've had good experiences with XP-Pen. I like hearing customer service stories - good & bad! It's a big part of my recommendation process.

Hello, How is the screen in terms of its colors? I ask because I have an ugee HK1650, and the problem I have is that the screen is bright, that makes the colors look brighter than they are ... and when I see the same drawings on another screen (for example when I upload them to instagram, deviant or face) the colors are more opaque ... the screen deceives me about colors. Does this cause the same problem?
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
If you spend time calibrating it then it's good, but straight out of the box it's not as good as more expensive brands. Obviously 90% of artists don't bother to calibrate their tablets or don't know how to. They also don't check their work on other monitors or don't buy better monitors to check with (obviously). I'm going to be doing a series on colour calibration soon with some luck!

Hello Mr. Mann! After an almost 30 hiatus from drawing (a career in the military) I have recently picked up the pencil and sketch pad to rekindle my love for drawing. While doing research on what's popular these days I started to see more and more reviews of these crazy drawing tablets things. Yes, I know they've been around for quite some time now but I wanted to just get back to my roots so to speak. Well during that time I seen several videos in which many talented artist said that what you do on paper will take time to carry over on screen. If that's the case, why spend money on more pencils, books, Prismacolor pencils, markers, masking fluid, water colors...you get the idea. I'll just get one of these thingamajigs and begin anew. So with that said, while watching about 20 or so reviews on many other manufactures I believe I'm sold on this one. Thank you for the review, you got a big thumbs up and a new sub.

Try this as a good basic app to get you started: sketchbook.com - It's free and if you like digital art then you can move up to something more substantial like Affinity Photo: affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/ It's cheaper than Adobe Photoshop and it'll do a great job but is more complex than Skexbook in the first link.

How is it with the question of colors? I explain; I have a Ugee, and try to calibrate it and do everything so that the colors look as realistic as possible, but I have the problem that when I see it on several screens the color looks very opaque, but with the blues and yellows, until you see pastries (I saw them on many monitors and smarthphones and they all look just as opaque ... that means it's a tablet thing), instead the colors on the tablet look very bright and beautiful, it's really frustrating !! I want to know your opinion about the Xpen on how the colors look, since I want to buy a new tablet and I'm between lape xpen or huion?
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW5 жыл бұрын
Neither are perfect. I think both have made their newer tablets even better. I've found XP-Pen tend to be a little more high contrast and a bit brighter but the Huion have a nice colour range. If you want better colour correction then you'd simply have to spend more and go with a better screen option like a Wacom Cintiq or the Dell Canvas. Wacom did just release the Wacom Cintiq 16 which is a lot more affordable but obviously its only 16".

It's not about your GPU and the tablet. It's basically a monitor. It's about how hard you push that GPU with the type of work you are doing. What programs etc.

Do you think the resolution of 1920x1080 will be okay with you? I don't see that being an issue but not being a massive 3D artist I don't know for sure if you consider the resolution of the monitor to be top priority? The new Huion has Tilt and while it is twice the price might be a better option perhaps!

yeah i think the 1920x1080 are fine for sculpting and enough for textures , also i should have a monitor 4k calibrated if i would like to look the colors so .. and i think there is no use of tilt at zbrush. correct me if i am mistaken . , i think im going to buy this ^_^ hope to find some better nibs for this product if they are crap . thanks for your video and your answer means a lot !

Great review and awesome dragon! I've been using the last generation Cintiq for quite a while and I've yet to upgrade to a 1440p monitor solution let alone 4K, but I can imagine it being jarring to step down to 1080p again after doing so, especially since you're a professional that works with a lot of premium tools that have already adapted to newer screen resolutions. I agree with you that these Wacom competitors need to step it up in terms of what they can do on their own (Huion and XP-Pen are trying the hardest, especially with their pad tablets, so we're getting there, I think). However, I'm impressed by how far their technology has gotten. A few years ago I barely knew these companies existed and invested in a smaller Cintiq, now XP-Pen and Huion are everywhere with 8k pressure levels, large working areas, and (at least with Huion, but supposedly XP-Pen are working on it) tilt, and decent screen tablets that are less expensive than Wacom's top-of-the-line pad tablet! I feel kind of cheated. lol I think given some time, they'll become even bigger to the point where they'll give Wacom a run for their money. As much I love Wacom products, I loathe their inflated prices, so when the day comes where competition makes them seriously consider adjusting their prices to reasonable amounts, I'll be happy. It's like how it used to be standard to rent movie from Blockbuster. Now Blockbuster is dead and we all have Netflix. Standards are always changing, and Wacom's got to do more with their future products than reduce the parallax and raise the pressure levels in order to stay king, at least not at the prices of a used car (+ removing express keys on the Cintiq line + selling necessary accessories like the ugly stand/keyboard/remote separately at ridiculous prices). It's just so mind-blowing that I could get my little sister a screen digitizer tablet with 8k levels of pressure sensitivity for Christmas at just under $300 (the XP-Pen Artist12), at that age I had to save up to that kind of money on my own just to buy an Intuos pad tablet! Even with a Cintiq, I think I've become a fan of XP-Pen simply because of that... and also how awesome their pad tablets are. At this point I don't even think Wacom's entry-level Intuos tablets are worth it for budget consumers - tilt and rotation are variable needs and aren't going to be what beginners know they'll be paying a premium for anyway, with those functions out of the equation, XP-Pen pad tablets are just as good as the Intuos Pro at a much more easy-to-swallow price. I think it would be interesting to see a modern 2-in-1 tablet laptop utilize UC Logic digitizers, kind of like how HP and Samsung use Wacom EMR tech for their 2-in-1's i.e. the Zbook x2. UC-Logic pen technology is definitely the closest pen experience to Wacom EMR compared to that N-Trig garbage (which is usable but far from ideal), and if there were a mobile drawing solution that would be a true alternative to the Wacom MobileStudio Pro, THAT might be the competition we were all waiting for. Heck, if XP-Pen or Huion themselves ever decide to jump onto alternatives to the MSP and a more preferable solution for hobby artists than the Surface Pros, I'd be all over that.
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
I've been hoping for one of the 'Wacom Alt' companies to create a MobileStudio or Surface Book alternative but I think this is still a few years off. We're still waiting on Hi-Res screens. Fingers crossed it won''t take too long! It seems from my research that there might only be four tablet manufacturers out there and some of them use multiple sub-names so it looks like there are many more. Wacom are the only ones who spend real money on R&D and I understand they spend more on certain components which means their prices are higher. They've also been around for almost 40 years which gives them that massive head start. However, there is other info. I'm gonna do a whole video later on showing why exactly the prices are higher and how the brands work - It's a delicate thing though. The kind of info that will get some likes and some hate but it's all well sourced so is fact.

@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
$500 really doesn't give you much to play with if you want a screen - let alone a big one. There aren't many options at all. As you can see here I can do some pretty decent stuff. It can't compete with the Cintiq but for the price comparison I think it holds up well!

@DirectAccessYT3 жыл бұрын
@@LAWRENCEcanDRAW I like teh low profile design of teh XP Pen AC19 you dont need hand over it you can just rest finger on iit and easily turn it a little or a lot. Plus its cheap. Also the Xence labs dial device doenst seem to have text info for dial only the keys which seems to be missed opportinuity . When i saw you drwaing yu sometimes rest other hand on table . If you could change brushtip or rotate cnvas or zoom with other hand via 3 dialsl it would be handy for you too :)
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW3 жыл бұрын
I don't think there is too much difference in terms of profile. At least not enough to make it a nightmare. Yes it is cheaper but I also think that shows in the construction and more so in the software. Yes there is not screen text for the Xencelabs dial but honestly if you can't remember three stages of your dial settings then you might get picked on by a goldfish! lol. If you're using it everyday then you won't have a problem. If you watch me draw on my regular tablet where I do use the Wacom remote, I still never use the dial. Never liked it myself. I've been using tablets since the early 90's so dials are still a new thing as far as I'm concerned. I use them for video editing. I right click to change my brush settings. Although, I do experiment with the way I work and occasionally change it up - I'm left handed but you might even spot me drawing with my right hand from time to time too.

Very nice video Lawrence! I was wondering how is the parallax effect on this tablet, and also if there is any wobbling while drawing slow straight lines?
@clintsuttonillustrationani14616 жыл бұрын
Maybe I can help answer your question. The parallax is the same as the older Wacom Cintiq 22 HD. There is a bit of distance between the pen and the display. But, it is something you do get used too. Having said that, I have tried out the new Wacom's with almost no parallax, and that is soooooo goooood! I have just seen a post about the new Huion Kamvas Pro 22, and it looks like they have drastically reduced their parallax. I should have waited before buying this one. As for wobbly lines, I only get those with Photoshop. For some reason it is a problem with PS CS6. And I have not yet been able to find a solution online for it. I use Sketchbook Pro for sketching and painting though, and it is perfect. Also very good in Illustrator and Animate. I have heard it works perfectly in all the other major drawing software. I love this XP pen, but, as I pointed out in my earlier post, it does need some changes.

Thanks for the answer! :-)
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
Nice reply Clint ;) Like having the afternoon off for me. I like it when people jump in on the comments. Awesome teamwork folks! I use Photoshop CC - latest version and no wobbly lines. The parallax isn't bad on this. A couple of mm. You can watch this whole 30min video and there are no wobbly lines so that's good. If people still expect to great results from older Photoshop when they run it on a new 64bit OS it wasn't designed for then they are gonna hit some snags - that isn't the tablet to blame - just bad reviewers. lol. Some apps like Sketchbook etc have 'line smoothing' which can and can't be a good thing. Photoshop has it now and Sketchable has it as well. I personally don't like it because it ads lag to your stroke but it also trows of the testing of straight lines. That's my two cents! Clint covered most of it though!

Hey thanks for this review! I have a question: what do you think about this tablet's anti-glareness? Indeed on the XP-PEN website one can read: "The custom-designed anti-reflective coating reduces glare by 56 percent." So is their anti-reflective feature worth something? Do you think the tablet provides some kind of matte display? Or does it get ruined by its screen (as you mentionned for other devices in your Huion Kamvas GT-221 Pro Review)? I'm about to buy this tablet (maybe in 2 or 3 months) but I'm not sure what kind of screen -display I'm falling for?

The texture is different of course but the anti glare is the same. I'm just glad it isn't gloss!!! It's a nice matte with the right amount of grit to it that works well for artists. What kind of work are you doing? What kind of apps?

Thanks for sharing your experience. Actually I've been learning and drawing for only a year. The reason why I started doing art is to make 2D animations. But to animate I have to learn how to draw first. So for a year now I've only been drawing. Definitely, what's great with using a tablet is that I would also be able to animate. As for the drawing tools to use I don't know yet : I will surely start with Krita on Windows OS. If you have any advice, I'll be glad to hear : doesn't matter if it's animation or drawing related.

I get a lot of animators visit the channel. I love to talk animation. I've done a lot of art direction on animation on animation over the years. It's a skill I can really appreciate. Most animators I know go for a 24" tablet btw. 16" seems a bit small. Have a look at Clip Studio! It's aimed more at animators.
@arnatomy6 жыл бұрын
Lawrence Mann I agree: I'm not a pro but I do think a 16" screen is a bit small for animation. That's why I'm aiming for a much wider screen panel. And thanks for the advice; I'll also checkout some KZbin videos about animation tools.

Hi Mr. Man. I have just found your KZbin channel of painting on different digital tools. It is pretty amazing to watch you doing your art . I was wondering if you ever tried your art on the Lenovo Yoga book, Android version. It is also equipped with a stylus. Also, Lenovo is considering a second version of the tablet, with more power. What are your thoughts about it ? Thanks in advance for any comments on my question.

Hi Rene, Welcome to the community! It's great to meet you. I had a Lenovo Yoga Book for a short while. I was very interesting. I had the Windows version. Unfortunately it has gone now. I enjoyed it immensely while I had it. I would very much like to try the new one when it arrives. I didn't have any Android devices when I had the Yoga Book but now I use Android on my Phone so I think it would be a perfect match by the artwork you can see me doing on the Note 8 videos here on my channel!!

Nice work Lawrence. The number 1 feature I really want in these cheaper tablets is SIZE! Are you getting any whiffs of 27-30 inch modes coming down the pipeline? I cant even get a big wacom these days, with the 27qhd discontinued and no sign of the 32 to be seen (and i imagine it will be obscenely expensive when it does come out)
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
I completely agree!! I'm really surprised we haven't seen some 27" screens out there. With the 32" Wacom coming out it would be great to see some 32" competitors too. Obviously they wouldn't be a match but I always tell people that screen size is soooo important. Resolution is not as important as size. You don't need 4k but the size is king!! Thanks for your comment here & welcome to the community ;D I think it will happen. I think it must just be cost issue at the moment that is stopping them. #ShareTheVideo!

I would agree with the tech-specs, they are reasonably good for the price. I also agree with the softer tip mentioned, as that could help longevity of the screen itself. I have seen some pictures of warn out models using the same hard tip. Yet, I do use the 12 model, which is not bad. But, I am going to get this 22 model. Just because it has more room to work with. You never know, maybe under all that hardcore plastic... there might be some secrets to be uncovered XD
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW5 жыл бұрын
I always say the two main things to look for in a tablet are the quality of the pen and the size of the tablet. So your reasons for upgrading are fine. A 12" is good but can feel cramped when you've got the UI of the application taking up room. A 22" will feel a lot better for you.

Thanks for putting up this one, you don't look as excited as when you reviewed the huion tablet though and i really wonder why. Also just letting you that you are one of the first reviewing this particular model. It just came out ~1 month ago
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
My apologies Rémy if I didn't seem as excited this time around. Maybe just a bit tired at the moment perhaps or simply trying to stay focused and on top of my thoughts more than anything of course. Personally I hate tech reviewers who wave their hands around too much and go over the top with the excitement. I know a lot of people like 'enthusiasm' that but it really grinds me because I can just see that it's 99% fake. lol. I know this version is updated but I wasn't sure how new it was so I didn't want to say too much about that. Also adding that in will only date the video I thought. What do you think of the newer updates. Do you think they make a huge difference? Also, what tablet are you currently using?
@remylami6 жыл бұрын
No worries Lawrence, i know it is hard to be true and happy all the time, i hear you. I was just wondering if it was as good as the huion because here in Australia the xp pen is almost half the price of the huion. I was wondering if the drawing on each of these brands felt very different or not (smoothness, parallax etc.) For the xp pen update of this version, yeah they basically changed everything (pen, panel). I also saw that huion is releasing a new updated version of the one you reviewed previously next month with a battery free pen and thinner display. They also will release there 1st 13inch tablet with titl support and a new gt 191 v2. It's hard to keep up with them. It seems like new models/versions are coming out every 6 months.
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
I think it's half the price everywhere! I understand AUS is potentially more expensive than a lot of places though. It looks like you have a lot of strange things like that considering you are thought of as part of the Western world. Your Amazon looks shockingly different!! There is a difference in the tech but I certainly wouldn't say it's $400 (US) difference (they are $800 Huion & $400 XP-Pen). Really depends on your budget. I have no idea what the after care is like and I'd love to hear some stories from users!

Day to day I use a Wacom 27QHD on my main machine and a Wacom MobileStudio Pro. I also use a Surface Book when I go away when I want a device that I'm gonna need to type on. I am just about to set up the Wacom 32" on my main computer though - stay subscribed for that unboxing! For me it's a 'bigger is better' when it comes to screen size! BUT this is my set-up and it's different for everyone. You probably have different needs to me so you'll need different tablet(s) depending on what you do.

It seems pretty obvious that these “budget” tablets are not there yet in terms of build, construction, design and above all, features. Not that i’m defending Wacom but all these chinese brands look like they are not trying hard enough and It’s not just a matter of pricing - we really need a true Wacom competitor.
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
I too used to refer to them all as 'Chinese' but after a lot of research it seems that the companies are mostly based in Taiwan! and some in Japan. Manufacturing in China but hey, isn't that everyone (including Apple!!). True the build isn't Wacom but you get what you pay for and if you are paying a third or a quarter of the price then you make the sacrifice somewhere. Right now I'm just taking an unbiased look at as many of these tablets as possible and trying not to do the whole 'Wacom comparison' thing - every other review I've seen does that and if you've seen my channel then you know I'm a big Wacom fan - nothing has changed there!! I just want to be a little more educated about the market so I can tell people to 'go jump' when they call me a 'Fanboy' or a 'Wacom Shill'. lol. Wacom are as good as they are because they have been around since the 80's and they are the only company who put that amount of money into R&D. I welcome competitors because competition breeds innovation which only means better tablets for us artists!! Trouble is... We need another company to put the money into R&D and the manufacturing. That would have to be a big company. Somebody like Dell perhaps. That might work if Dell bought one of the companies like Huion and developed it! They already did their Canvas and that was great!
@rewanji6 жыл бұрын
Lawrence i get your point. The graphic tablets market is a niche market, not everybody uses them, not everybody is ready to part with a substantial amount of money for one of these. If anyone would feel ready to invest seriously in it, the economic return might not be as quick and significant, so the question remains - will we see a true Wacom alternative in a near future? I sincerely hope so - something from Apple would be great, but i'm afraid its just wishful thinking... Keep up the good work!
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
I want the same thing! Competition in the market place. I'm looking for it! Honestly... I don't know. I think these brands want to occupy the space underneath Wacom - getting the amateur and semi-pro users who don't want to spend the big money. Letting the big spenders buy Wacom! I really don't think we will see a competitor and I don't think there's room in the market for one. Wacom isn't as big as everyone thinks. I talk to a lot of people in the industry and I'm pretty sure we won't see anyone take on Wacom. At least not for the nest few years. Not unless something major happens. iPad Pro, Surface and these folks are all chipping away at Wacom's profits meaning less room for any competitor too! So the smaller mobile tablets are your only other options really in the future :O
@GravnHD6 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend it over the Wacom Intuos Pro Medium Paper Edition?
@LAWRENCEcanDRAW6 жыл бұрын
The Wacom has the Pro Pen 2 which is a better pen but some artists prefer drawing directly onto a screen. It's really personal preference. It depends on your style and the kind of work you do. Personally because of the size difference of the drawing area, I'd say go for this!
