Sadly, it's a crappy app; They killed photography pro, which was basically the only thing that made their phone different, which made them an option compared to other manufacturers: pixel, samsung, etc. It has hidden manual controls, they are not at hand and are destined with this interface to be forgotten. If I wanted a basic phone I would go for a Pixel, cheaper and basically with the same crappy camera. I would ask for the resignation of whoever came up with this, he just killed Xperia.

Is it just me or this just seems like a downgrade? From the previous Xperia 1 series smartphones. Like how do you come from a 4K 21:9 aspect ratio OLED HDR 120 Hz display to 1080p? Like what phone in 2024 have a 1080p screen that's a company's flagship phone? If there is one they're not known. And now you take away the photography pro app? that made it like a Sony alpha a7 camera. I wonder how much this phone costs because if it's over $500 this is not a good choice. It's just so basic... Why even keep the look of the Xperia 1 series It should have started this own thing.

The new photo App is not very good , tried a ported apk version on my xperia 1 v and it does not compare to the previous dedicated PHOTO PRO app. It does make it faster to flip through modes and lenses ill give it that but its definitely butchered.

I don't know what Sony is doing. The identity of the Sony Xperia series has been built in 5 years. Why do you simply abandon 4?K I don't know, but I see the new Xperia as a device that has become a very normal device, and phones in the $300 category are much better. What used to distinguish Sony, the powerful Sony screen, Sony cameras, and the amount of options available to the photographer, has now become a regular phone.I love Sony devices. I hope you will reconsider the 4 screen 4K

The pro mode is not professional，It looks like a basic camera app done haphazardly

Pro mode is far worse. It needs to return to how it was last year with the 1/5 V.

I used to change my phone every year. All of them are Xperia 1 series. Until I watched the Xperia 1 VI Announcement video, I decided to discontinue on this mark for two reasons. One is about it's aspect ratio which is not 21:9 anymore. Another one, the main reason, is the new Camera application. I'm happy that the brand wants to be familiar with any type of user. It's okay that there's Basic mode in it. BUT for Pro mode, it's UI should be the same as it was. It's not hard to understand. It's very easy to adjust things I want before pressing the shutter button. It's exceptional and unique. Please bring it back. I'll wait for 1 VII or until the REAL PRO MODE is back again.

The design, functionality and interface of Photography Pro, Video Pro and Cinema Pro are impressive. It motivates you to learn new things, shoot more professionally, and unlock the potential of your cameras. The new standard application makes it possible to adjust the same settings, but I absolutely don’t want to do this. Ugly black and white interface, ugly zoom slider. How will this help your sales? Why don't I feel Photo Pro when I switch to Pro mode in a new app? Leave the option to use old applications, make a new application as the main one for the crowd. I understand the lack of a 4k display. I understand the resolution is 19.5:9. 21:9 is brilliant, but can be off-putting to a wider audience, so 19.5:9 is good. I understand the simplified camera interface for a wide audience, but completely removing the applications that set Sony apart from its competitors is a crime. The professional design and professional interface of Photography Pro, Video Pro and Cinema Pro is what we loved about Sony.

Devastated that this isn't going to be for retail sale in the US anymore. 😞😞😞 I've loved my Xperias for 10 years, and don't want to go back to Samsung. 😕

Sony uniqueness is rare in an era of copy cats, 3.5mm port, memory card slot etc. Hate or love them, they're like no one else.

I actually really like this new camera app,.I really don't understand why soany people complain. All the functions are there from from before, and the basic tab has access for the most important additional adjustments. I think it's great.

Excellent change, very well-designed phone; Sony made this phone appealing to everyone who expected a high-quality product with unique features. So far the best phone for 2024👍🏼
