It blocks the DC supply that is why it blocks until unless TA is ON

capacitor first discharges through inductor, inductor current reaches its maximum, now capacitor voltage is zero and inductor acts as current source, inductor now discharges through capacitor, but capacitor gets charged in reverse polarity, bkz current now flows through inductor to capacitor.

You do not actually remove them. They are turned off electronically . Hence the circuit is shown that way

I have seen in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/j56XZaeaibmGqKs , that when you are using a polarized capacitor (instead of a non-polarized one as you are using), you dont have to have the additional second thyristor and diode. So what is the advantage of your setup?
