XPR5550 Brightness Levels Change Mic Backlight Color

When using the DTMF microphone (Motorola part number RMN5127C) with a Motorola XPR5550, it defaults to a red backlight until you drop the brightness down - then it switches to green. Max will make it red, anything below that makes it green, and the lowest setting turns the backlight off. This is using the night mode on the display.
