Xprite 12" Roof Top Mini Strobe Light Bar

My first impressions of this lightbar are pretty good. It is very bright and blinding to the eye for only being a $40 light bar. It is only rated for 45 mph on the road and I am planning on keeping it on the truck for most of the plow in season and testing it out at 55 mph. Xprite lights are brighter than some lights that cost up to 10x as much! I dont know how they do it. Lol

I have the same light, bought it just for bad weather, I have been 60 mph and it never moved. The magnets are impressive, and will save your life driving in the mountains. Be safe all and Merry Christmas!

@@highcountryliving8484 No sir, and not sure why, maybe you could hard wire it to your battery and connect a switch so it can stay on even if the car isnt.

I just bought this bar for my Honda Element for my roadside recovery and mechanic business i cant wait for it to come in and i might even add some industrial velcro to the bottom to hold it on so i can keep it on full-time (I regularly drive 55-80 MPH)!!! Thanks for the video on it!!!

these are super bright pretty awesome. Mine died after 2 months. Half the LEDs stopped working due to moisture that got inside. Unit is supposed to be water proof. Xprite did offer me instore credit or replacement. I'll be upgrading to a 26" light bar from them.

Nice. Bright. Im looking to pickup a bigger one for oversize hauling. Xprite is on list of possibilities. We run xprite fog lights on our jeep. Been working great for 2 yrs. still bright

Hope it all works out i've had bad luck with the cheap strobes. Maybe I got a bad one, but personally imho if you are spending $40+k on a truck and $5-10k on a new plow installed and plowing professionally(not just your driveway and a few neighbors) it is worth every penny to get a class 1 strobe. You can find them on amazon in the $100-200 range and they are typically built alot better and offer a lot more warning during daylight. Take care!!

Anyway to mount this to the roof permanently? I'm starting a roadside assistance business and bought this for safety, without looking at whether or not the magnets were rated for highway/interstate travel. So wondering if anyone has actually hard mounted this thing? And if so, can you give a rundown?

With all due respect, Please don't put your safety in the hands of a cheap $30 strobe. These things die in mere months and are not Class A lighting. Basically meaning they are dim enough that during daytime, they are invisible. I would highly suggest you to look at a brand like Whelen, Feniex, or maybe soundoff signal. I personally would get a Whelen AM series beacon. It costs ~$100 and will be legitimately 5x the brightness, and are warranted for years. (and no, the magnets will not hold past probably 25mph) a name brand might be "stable" until ~50mph, but if that thing flies off and kills someone, it's on you.

@@Carterthielftw_ Appreciate it, I already upgraded to a better quality one. It's still a bit on the cheap side but it allows hard mounting and I already hard mounted it. (Even bought higher quality bolts for the model I landed on, and reinforced it with lock washers/nuts. I essentially just needed a stop gap till I invest in a really high end one. As starting up a business isn't cheap lol.

Stays in place on the Highway and through car washes! It hasn’t moved and it’s still working. So far it’s exceeded my expectations.

@@douglaslawncare2843 mine arrived today. Amber and white combo. Took it straight out of the box and plugged it into the cigarette lighter which was a little hard to plug in. Patterns are all pretty neat and it is a little bigger and brighter than I thought it would be. Can't wait to install it in a couple of days!

I’ve been on the highway with it going about 75 and it never moved. I accidentally went through a car wash with it on and it still works and it never moved. 👍🏻
