To those wondering... there is no 'over' or 'end'. Only infinite timelines. In my timeline, Japan could have never been so glorious as to create something like Mario Kart. Because it was fought over like scraps by China, USSR, and America. The result was a Japan that looks like Germany today, but without a bunch of countries to draw into a monetary union. That's right - in my timeline? No Anime. Truly the worst possible outcome.

instead of wondering why we should just be grateful that we exist and exist in the time we do. all of the "struggles" you think you face regardless of social class or race mean absolutely nothing. we all live in a physical and non-physical paradise ample to be harvested for anything we want, yet complacency, the killer of all, allows that simple reality to be clouded and misjudged to be an obstacle. human emotions and our adaptive nature builds a tolerance from experiences, for experiences. most of all, the experience of being comfortable in a "small life", if that's how the individual defines it. Physically we are small but we've been given the most valuable thing in the entire universe; consciousness, intelligence, and an unpaved road that leads anywhere you want. The only obstacle that is truly in the way of anyone and everyone is simply the work between two points. For some, that's too much.
