@@maniac9014 I mean I hit plat 3 when i started playing RL 3 years ago in my first 20 hours on kbm. Just did 10 hours of practice arena with basic car control, aerials and save practice. To be fair when I started playing RL the first time my champ friends played lots of 3v3 casual with me and i got my ass handed to me every game (maybe that's why I got plat so easily?)

tbf he is doing some things right at times, back post rotating, taking curved lines to match when the ball comes down, sometimes shadow defences and even at times shows a bit of patience. If he works more on the shadowing, patience as well as better ball control so that he doesnt always flip into it and consistently hit/touch it he'd be well on his way to being a pretty good player

Ok X understand a few things: Never do a 3 point turn, like never ever, either powerslide (recommended) or learn how to do a half flip. Also you need to know that when you flip you stop going up or down, for example if your falling down and then do a flip you will stay at the same height for the duration of the flip, so when flipping into the ball make sure that you are at the correct height before flipping

He needs to learn how to half flip. It’s not that hard mechanically. Quite a few times in this video he got caught in an awkward spot and could easily recover if he knew how to half flip but instead just fumbles around with the controls and gives up a goal. I learned it when I was in gold and once I got consistent with the muscle memory it helped a ton.
