I see a lot of people asking "what the point of the game is". The game is about organization, production, and logistics. You're trying to build, optimize and organize a factory to research and obtain materials for a dying Earth. It's a very different type of game that actives almonds in your brain that are rarely used unless you're an engineer/architect/planner. Factorio, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress, Kenshi and Minecraft's Tekkit/Technic mods are the closest things i can think of. It's very fun but can be very challenging. It introduces you to new problems and solutions that can even be applied to real life. Great game.

The game takes 230 hours to 100% complete one run.... pretty good length imo and the point is to mass produce everything in the game until it's automated

The issue isn’t really how long he’ll play the game for (he will just play until he gets bored or distracted) it’s about the game itself. Satisfactory isn’t just grindy, it’s basically just tons of math and frustration when you want to progress. That’s fun for some people, like me, but it’s definitely not easy to stream the game and make it entertaining.
