For me 3 guys 1 hammer is the worst. Like sure there is funky town, Chechnya beheadings and ISIS stuff and more. He got convicted of murder anyway so I don't get the "EU thing" part. I'm sure if it happened in the US there would be a similar scramble for what they could charge him with under the unusual circumstances and it looks like the German police figured it out eventually. Regarding the case itself, the guy was actively seeking out someone to play out this fantasy and had he not done that, the other guy might would likely be alive. Not to mention the mental illness aspect and any other number of crimes that must have been committed like improper handling of a corpse etc. It might not be a simple murder but you can't let people do stuff like this.
