I am by the way an Italian farmer and my family have olive growth for over 3 centuries!

Just buy American olive oil. All American made olive oil has to adhere to U.S. standards, which means they have to be actual extra virgin olive oil to be labelled as such. Don't buy imported Italian olive oil unless you know what you're looking at.

The "best olive region in the world" is sadly California and then Spain. 99% of olive production in the US is from California. Growing up out here, I don't think I've actually ever bought an Olive Oil that didn't say "California" on it. Certainly nothing that claimed it was produced in Italy.
