This is all intentional. You can literally soft lock in EVERY place in the Ultra Deluxe version, there is purposely multiple chairs you can walk on top of to go out of bound almost EVERYWHERE. And it's 100% a nod to the Bottom of the Mind Control Facility ending.

@@protosser5445 Long armchair psychologist game theorist take 🤓: There's different ways to enjoy games, the Stanley Parable though has parts that work with anyone and parts that work better with patient people trying to get everything out of the game. For example the skip button ending, I spent a long time there listening to all the dialogue until it looped and checking everything that changed in the room. But ofc X just spams the button on cooldown and just skips all the dialogue and barely looks at whats changing. But that's just 2 ways of experiencing the same content, and demonstrates what the scene is trying to get out of different players. At the end he mentions how he likes how the game makes him feel something, and jokingly that things don't feel real after playing. But it shows you that the game still had impact even when he ADHD'd it. I'd love to see him play through a good RPG or something but I don't think he has the patience for it. Maybe at some point.
