Situation is that manager/employee is paying for the customers fries at $15 but tickets per order, regardless of the original price, comes out to a minimum $60 from the government. Meaning that the employee makes $45 net profit. Customer gets free food and employee makes $45. However, the manager sees this as loss of $15 profit because the customer didn't pay for the food, but is STILL taking $45 from the government. Manager sees only profit loss on this senario and not the fact that he still makes money. If we get rid of the government (tickets really) then this wouldn't a problem because BurgerShot would run themselves out of business.

For the record... X is right. What Ken didn't understand is that because he paid for X's fries and cashed out the recipe that he got from that transaction, it was actually the government that paid for the fries. So Ken's $15 goes to Burger shot, Ken pockets $45, and the government loses $60. Because it was a transaction that shouldn't have happened anyways. Now if Ken paid for the fries and didn't cash the recipe, he would have been fine. Because that would just be an act of kindness with money from his pocket. So the judge made the right decision and X also made the right decision by telling the employee not to pay for the food. Even though they didn't know it was fraudulent. Negligence is not an excuse above the law.
