It’s wrong not just trash Zero day got nothing to do if someone else have it or not A zero day is in the name you have zero day to actually mitigate to it Meaning no batch So if a vulnerability is unknown to the vendor (regardless another hacker knows it or not) it’s a zero day Once a zero day is known to vendor and they actively batching it it’s pretty much burned and fight against time It’s a prev zero day and this point it’s unbatch exploit that will be batched soon That’s it If only he doesn’t skip

It's not only terrible, it's absolutely wrong. You can't account for what someone else finds as a vulnerability. To you it may look fine and secure, to a hacker it can look as something to exploit. It's warfare really and one has to predict how the other attacks, while the one who attacks analyzes the defenses and breaks through with means the other may not know about. Yeah, his analogy of "not locking a gun away and leaving it out in the open" is bad. Most software programs have security build in. It's just impossible to create the perfect and unhackable system. Hacking into a software is more like breaking into a house using force, since if you want to protect your house, you would need to account for all possible ways of entering.
