La banda perdio mucho al dejar ir a tarja. No me desagradan las cantantes nuevas, pero tarja le aportaba ala banda presencia y una voz tremenda, ademas de que Tuomas es un escelente compositor y la banda suena muy grosa. creo que todos perdieron algo cuando TArja se fue. Ojo tarja perdio una banda muy buena tambien.

I'd seen Nightwish material...and listened to a few songs, but didn't really "give it a chance" (I'm a HUGE Within Temptation fan). I recently watched the "From Wishes to Eternity" DVD...and I'm completely blown away...completely. Nightwish IS AMAZING. Now, I've gotta see what ALL the Tarja vs. Annette controversy is about (but I must say, after having ONLY listened to Tarja, I don't see how anyone can come close...sorry to say. How do you improve on near perfection?? Can't wait to hear more!!

You most likely mean the TV1 recording in 1999 with interview of Tuomas and Tarja and then Getshemane and Sacrament of Wilderness. That was really The moment in history of this genre...it started to fly.

Annette wasn't a bad singer, at all. Is just that she was completely different from Tarja, whenever she had to sing songs from Tarja's era it was sad. Now with Floor Jansen, this is another story, I think she can sing songs both from Tarja's era and Annette's with amazing results hehe. I can't wait for their new music to come out!

Seeing/hearing what Floor does with Ghost Love Score, it just confirms my opinion that Floor is the best singer alive. Period. She does things vocally with that song that would take both Annette and Tarja to pull off. I'm fully in agreement that I can't wait for the new album. Thoumas has a way of crafting songs that suit the singer. So with Floor we should hear something special.

Laugh Sorry, what Nigtwish has been doing musically since Tarja is just mediocre. Tarja has a much clearer voice and brings in octaves in such a way that Floor can only dream of this level. These are facts. Floor has a different vocal range and I liked it much better musically in your previous band. Sitting in a made nest is easier than having to make it yourself. For me, Nightwish ceased to exist after Tarja. And what I heard from them afterwards only strengthened my decision. As the new clown guitarist said in an interview. Tarja never fit in with Nightwish. That says everything about the level of the band members. Tarja forever
