This is the longplay of Super Turrican, an action and platform game released for the Super Nintendo in the United States, Europe and Japan in 1993, having been developed by Factor 5 and published by Seika Corp. This game represents the 5th chapter of the Turrican saga.
The game's story revolves around a great tyrant called The Machine, who froze billions of beings on a planet. A nameless hero is called and, after wearing the Turrican Suit costume, goes against the affected planet to take revenge on the villain and his cyber armies.
Our hero has 3 types of shots, divided by colors: yellow (rebound shot), blue (laser) and red (spread shot). In addition to having an electric beam to paralyze enemies and smart bombs (to devastate all enemies on the screen). The Turrican Suit provides the user with the ability to perform special actions, such as turning into a ball, similar to Samus' Morph Ball in Metroid. The gameplay of the game is very good, it's just a pity that our hero only shoots while standing or bent over. If he could shoot diagonals (as was the case with Rendering Ranger: R2, which would be released years later), it would definitely help a lot. Another negative point is that, although The Machine appears in the game's intro, unfortunately we don't face it in this version of the Turrican saga.
Without a doubt, Super Turrican is a spectacular game. Full of stages with alternative paths, diamonds and extra lives to collect, as well as incredible graphics and a wonderful soundtrack.
This is one of the best games created by the talentous hands of Manfred Trenz and with epic soundtrack compesed by Chris Huelsbeck.

The songs in this game are unforgettable. I rented a 13 in 1 cartridge on the Super Nintendo in the 90s and the Super Turrican was included in the cartridge. Ever since I heard the songs in this game for the first time, they've never left my head.

El problema con Snes que finaliza con el alien y en sega tiene 1 nivel mas y te enfrentas a terminator y al amo del mal, que en snes no esta. X eso la version sega es mas completa porq es otro juego, no es el mismo. Graficamente snes lo supera!

@@Emiliano30ar Sí, la versión de SNES es excelente y superior en todos los aspectos técnicos, pero su mayor debilidad es tener una pelea entre Turrican y The Machine (aunque el villano aparece en la introducción del juego). En Mega Drive nos enfrentamos a La Máquina. Sólo en Super Turrican 2 pudimos enfrentarnos a este enigmático villano.

@@Emiliano30arThe final stage is designed terribly and so is most of Mega Turrican, it has so much sprite tearing it gives the NES a run for it's money, too many enemies and weapons that don't really offer much differences

I heard Super Turrican is actually an incomplete game and they intended to add more but cut a lot of stuff for whatever reason. So maybe it would be interesting to think of Super Turrican and Super Turrican 2 joined together as the full game. That could make a big difference in how it's then viewed in comparison to the complete but lone Genesis game. Although, you can kinda tell the second game on SNES isn't quite the same as the first.
