Excellent video! You and your Russian friend have just given me the confidence to tackle the carbs on my 79 XS650. Thank you for the informative lesson.

Smiling! Good on sir. Working on one for my grandson. Got it from a friend years ago and it was modified some. Air box is gone, and I can tell it's getting too much air, need new jets but not sure what size but the air cleaners are like then ones in this video. I suspect the ones you have should be about right. Also thought about using small drill bit to open them up a bit. done that in the past and worked somewhat. Smiling.

is your pilot air jet a 35 or 135? my BS34 has a 135. Is yours that much lower because of the pod filters?

Well with the type of exhaust I was running and the pod filters my jetting on that bike was as followed: main jets 146 and the pilot jets 47.5 . It all can be different due to what exhaust you have , what type of air intake, altitude and bore the engine. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching

The screw on end goes to the carb that would be the fatter end. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
