I appreciate the bad language, guys. It's real. This is the most frustrating FSU team I've ever watched. They *might* be better than 2020, but I liked them. I watch these games with my 7 year old daughter; I have to restrain myself and try to explain the game to her as it's happening. It's probably saved me from bad decisions :D
@GR-bn3xjАй бұрын
I don't have the exact numbers, but about 20% of FSU plays resulted in yards for loss. That's insane. I wouldn't expect that against Alabama, much less Memphis. On the next to last drive, which was the last chance to really tie the game in all honesty, Memphis twice ran cover zero max blitz. That's insane. Nobody does that protecting a lead. I guess it was brilliant.Considering resulted in two huge sacks, but when you have Memphis in cover zero and can't get a pass off to take advantage, that's bad.

Richie L had been one of the better guys, but he looked foolish on multiple occasions here. TERRIBLE. On the ridiculous play where Brown got hurt, looks like Douglas is almost allowing the guy inside thinking 6 would move outside. Also no one talking about how Memphis shot themselves in the foot several times - this score could have been much worse. Great work as always guys, look forward to these painful breakdowns each week.

@zuseislooseАй бұрын
Everyone analyzing FSU: Watch the game live: "What is DJU doing!? Put Brock in!" Watch the film looking for reasons why DJU is the problem: "Why can't he run faster? He's to slow to react to the constant pressure and the WR's not getting separation!" Slowly realize what is actually the problem: "The Oline is the worst in the country and nobody can consistently block or catch." Come up with a half brained fix: "Put Brock in" repeat
@robertmacgrogan5323Ай бұрын
The O Line does OK on pass protection IMO. They are giving DJ plenty of time to stand there and laboriously go through his reads till he gets sacked or decides to throw the ball 12 feet over the head of his receiver. I am not saying the rest of the offense is doing great, but DJ is horrible. Ask yourself this. Why are we doing so many screens? Seems like the coaches basically don't trust him to throw the ball till we are 2 scores behind.
@GuthboxАй бұрын
Having a more mobile QB can help alleviate the issues at O-line. Every FSU fan should know this after what we saw with Milton and J-Trav
@TheDrRJPАй бұрын
McCoy called for a fair catch and the Memphis defender blocked Jones from behind into McCoy. Jones had stopped waiting for McCoy to complete his catch when the defender actually grabbed Jones by the back of his shoulder pad, picked him up and literally threw him into McCoy. The defender's foot got close enough to McCoy that should have been flagged for catch interference at a minimum. I would have called unsportsmanlike conduct on it. You have to view it, frame by frame, to see what happened. Now if Jones was standing in front of McCoy and then the defender blocked Jones into him, that would not be catch interference. But, that's not where the defender was or what he did here. BTW, there were a lot of non-calls on holding which didn't help our defense either.
@XsandNolesАй бұрын
There have been so many holdings against FSU this year and none are called. Wild stuff

OK it took me a couple of days to get through this whole video. I think the fact that the last couple of "drives" are not on here skews it a bit, but maybe it's not so much on DJ as I thought before. A mobile QB would be better. But the biggest issue is the o-line, which is an embarrassment. I believe Kev said this kind of o-line is unacceptable at Florida State. Man, this O-line is unacceptable at Ball State. Heads need to roll.

10:25 This is what worries me the most. It feels like Mike's offense has been successfully scouted and now teams have an answer. Not having a dynamic QB in JT does not help, but it just seems like defenses are selling out hard on exactly what we're showing.

We only won the last couple of years because we had travis and we got super lucky in the transfer portal. And I can't stand norvell will be mediocre until we decide to fire him years down the road. He can't recruit, our players aren't developed or motivated. This is worse than Florida's situation
@davekuhn1770Ай бұрын
13:35 another example, just total sell out on the play. If DJU keeps it, as slow as he is, he'll run it for... idk, 10 yards before the guys 30 yards from him catch up! I kid... but seriously, there is no one protecting against a QB scramble whatsoever.
