One of my most favorite songs by Xscape. Tried to hold back tears as I watched this video, haven’t seen it since the 90s. Reminds me of a real happy happy time when I was with my mom and siblings. I lost 3 of them. 27 years and it still hurts. I know I can’t go back in time but I can try to smile through the pain. This was my mother’s song. Crazy how music puts you in a time capsule. These were some great times! Especially with female groups and when women could sing and didn’t have to be naked. Why did things have to change.... we need to get back to this! Groups like Xscape made you want to be in the entertainment industry. My friends and I used to dress like this and sing before and after school and during lunch time. Life was good back then and then in a matter of minutes it changed. Whoever still has their mom, sister and brother or parents cherish it please. Don’t fight. This world is tough when you have to raise yourself and you’re alone. My mom was my best friend. Only had her for 14 years of my life. Cherish every day and don’t wait for the holidays to show someone you loved them. But God has kept me! Stays blessed everyone.! 💜💜💜

Most definitely. I kind of get how that feels. I grew up with such beautiful music like this and it brings back memories too. I didn't have siblings but my mom and dad were my best friends. They died when I was 9 and 13 but you don't forget those core memories. And it's very hard navigating through life alone. I hope you never forget the love you and your family shared

@@tomorrowwatkins4021 My favorite was Tamika but it’s true that the sound of the group is built around Kandi’s and that’s what Jermaine wanted to compete with TLC. During this time period of music you needed an element that made you stick out and Kandi was that for this group. When you hear her voice you instantly know which group you are listening to.

Weak may be the biggest song on The Billboard charts, but UNDERSTANDING brought a new understanding of what a REAL R&B group is suppose to be, when I heard them in real time back in the day. I fell in love with Xscape, from DAY 1! And the difference between Xscape and my other girls S.W.V is that ALL of the members from Xscape had lead parts on almost all of their songs, but CoKo was the mic hogger on every one of their songs.

Maria, I agree !! they was one of the rising female groups of the 90"s. Of course, with success; they had some issues within the group that i believe should have been hashed out, but it didn't and they faded... they are one of my favorite groups ; I still put on the Cd's and " Just Kickin it" Maybe, just once they would have a reunion; that would make us Xscape fans excited !! I hope..... if they haven't resolved their past issues that reunion will not happen.. But we can dream it will happen... Lets still sing their songs and one of them will hear us and come back ,please.......come back .......
