www.siemens.com... - Siemens Drive Technologies has commissioned a gearless drive system for the overland conveyor which was designed by ThyssenKrupp in the Antapaccay copper mine in Peru. This is the first large-scale reference for this technology outside Germany. The gearless drives helped to boost the efficiency and reliability of the conveyor system and reduce maintenance requirements.
