There was a great game by SEGA called F355 Challenge. It that game they just made it so if you rammed somebody your own car would lose traction and go careening out of control. They called it Gentleman driving and it was a perfect way to handle rammers.

Just had my very first online race yesterday. Started with someone glitching out the auto drive that caused the entire field (except for 1st) to be left behind. 1st place let everyone catch up and decided to have fun running people off the road for the entire duration. I managed to get past him and held 8/9 laps until he successfully got me, at which point he received a 3 second penalty which let me get close enough to squeak 1st away from him on the last lap. Not a great first race experience - I will admit though, it was fun avoiding him

You won’t really have *good* racing until at least like C/A in my opinion. I don’t trust anyone with safety B or lower, but once your safety is A or S it gets much better (far from perfect still but better)

I've learned my lesson enough times, if I ever get bumped off the track or shoved into a wall that person gets shadow realmed back to last place on the next turn if possible, not letting asshats like that ruin more than one lap per race.

I had the exact same experience , I think that the 6X credit boost is what brought these jerks about. Also I'm only DR C so there are a lot of inexperienced drivers that make big mistakes. I did get one good race where everyone was SR S. Sadly I lost 2nd trying to aggressively overtake very defensive 1st. I hit the curb on a late apex too hard and spun. Atleats I learned some defensive driving, maybe next time I'll have a chance at a podium finish.
