This is basic karting, i think they pay 200 to take part using calibrated karts for weight and power to equalize the field. Its more about driver skills than high speeds. Higher spec karts like 125cc snr will do double this speed, and can cost £5000 for the weekend race.

It's a hard lesson. But most of us since about 1995, who have played computer racing games AND been Go-Karting track have painfully discovered that there are 2 vital ingredients missing from making us the next F1 World Champion... You learn on a Kart track that- 1. Fear and the real life consequences of speed and crashing are not the same as on a computer. 2. Other people have more speed/experience/lack of fear.

Another great video and once again another good reference for developing though doesn't look like a whole lot has changed at this track in the last couple years. I enjoy the commentary, its hard to say if you are one of the fastest drivers, probably close from what I've seen but I think your biggest strength is in actually knowing how to race. A lot of sim racers and hobbyist racers don't apply enough credit to what it means to actually race instead of just driving fast laps. There is a mental game to racing well; like you comments on using someone else to open holes and following them through, not putting yourself in a bad spot prior to entering the pits and just generally weighing the risk and reward in overtaking attempts. I've noticed this in your commentary in a lot of your other karting videos as well. I did a lot of work on the Kartsim version of this track as well and I have to agree that it is a very fun track to drive, even in sim. It has a fun rhythm to it, very momentum focused but in turn makes it difficult to gain time when people are on it, but very easy to give up lots of time. In your case more like taking advantage of those people that are breaking their rhythm and making the mistakes.

in my part of the States the kart racing is mostly indoors. that said I still need to try it. The tracks you race in Club100 look like great fun. I can't imagine an indoor course would be much fun. Oh and the karts indoors are electric as well...so there's that too.

a lot of the indoor tracks in my area are very technical tracks whereas the outdoors ones are very much like these. nvr drove an electric kart before tho

Indoor tracks are pretty rad. They're able to have some pretty extreme features you won't often find on an outdoor circuit- my local track has an elevated chicane, some massive dips and crests, inclined hairpins, and lots of strange, tight twisties to gnash your head around. Good way to learn kart control. Electrics are super fun too, they're a real gut puncher at full send. Would recommend.

Coming here from the pro-series 24hr endurance race, where a single stint is how long this entire race is. It looks like these Club100 carts are faster than Pro Series, but in turn require more maintenance from the track crews - more routine chain lubrication, more frequent fuel stops (being a two--stroke, Rotax's can be seriously damaged if run out of gas), and just more service in general. Although I'm not sure how much of that is just policy of the track to make things more interesting and how much is genuinely required for the longevity of the carts.

Great video again dude! Like you said in the video, getting a radio system would be great addition for the team, but would be equally as great for the content. Maybe you could experiment with a wider angle lens for your GoPro, I've seen plenty for less than 10 pounds on the Chinese websites. I guess we would be able to see better what's happening on track while seeing all your sick steering skills at the same time. Also this might be a pricy upgrade, but 360 degree camera on the side would be so cool, so you could show what's going on behind and left and right of you. Just an idea tho, the videos are already very entertaining 🙈
