Just a wee bit of perspective as to our (only) place in the multiverse. "In this new Dark Age," we need more music, less war, more acceptance, less hatred, more respect, less destruction, more wonder, less fear, more listening, less talking, more singing, less preaching. Be kind to one another and our fellow non-human Earthlings. We are all any of us have.

As a 50yr old woman who's loved XTC since I first heard them when i was 8 or 9 ( older brothers) I just love how many people of all ages from all over the world JUST LOVE XTC! 🤗

Juliet Adam I’m 65, I still listen to them on a regular basis. I have everything they’ve ever done since day one. My 36 year old daughter was raised on them. We are both fanatics!

Thanks for posting the lyrics. I was lucky to see XTC perform live twice, when they played in Austin to promote Their Drums & Wires and Black Sea albums. They deserve to be in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Cheers!

Love this song! Found this on a podcast back in ‘06 from a guy @ the Colorado School of Mines who talked about geology. Was an excellent podcast and he used this song as his intro song. I can relate! Had the same situation with Red Brick Dream on The Big Express lp. The song would just stay with me for what seemed like 3 weeks. Some of their stuff just stays with like that! They are just THAT IMPACTFUL!

This is the kind of song that deserves either a) being featured in a big movie or TV show that gives XTC a well-deserved blow-up, or b) a cover by a popular pop singer/group that makes Andy a bunch of money; think Sixpence None The Richer's version of "There She Goes."

This song is so incredibly inspiring, uplifting, just outstanding. Sends you soaring. XTC is a new band for me but suddenly one of the most important ones I have ever came across. those last two xtc albums were chock full of potential. such great lyrics and tunes. just felt they needed better production on about 2/3 of the tracks. not enough time, but so true we're all light!

Sometimes you can produce all the life out of something. I spoke to other engineers and we all had stuff on our shelves we remixed and remixed because we could, then we'd get a band in for six hours, who'd do three tunes and we'd take the demo home to listen to because we loved the vibe.

I really like XTC as a band. Unfortunately I have read that Andy is an atheist. I did not like the song Dear God because it was blaming God for the bad stuff going on in the world. Too sad. The truth is that God is Light. In Him there is no darkness.
