I think whomever created the idea for this ladder is genius! I saw one for the first time, yesterday: a HVAC kid came to my house and had to get into the attic, which is up 14' inside of a caged vent. When I looked in the back of his truck, telling him he'll need a ladder - and then when he pulled this out - -I was amazed! A MUST-HAVE for people with lots of art and cathedral ceilings.

@danielstapleton88755 жыл бұрын
@@IamNemoN01 Agree. I have both. Little Giant is a far superior ladder. Stronger. More versatile. Safer. The telescoping ladders don't handle getting water in them or paint on them well. Switches stick. It bends more and the rungs are skinny and slippery (Even with high dollar rubber deck boots). Imo their place is to be stored inside with occasional use for a homeowner.

This looks to be the 785P which is spec'd to be 19.5' long on the manufacturer's website. Although when I search for the product, there only seems to be a 15.5' version under the same model name. Even the link in your tool store brings me to the 15.5' version. Do you know what the deal is?
@OregonOutlaw6.46 жыл бұрын
20' long 15.5' after you lean into something to keep your weight stable from falling backwards you can't have it just straight up and down.

I'd STRESS learning to close the ladder with PROPER hand placement before doing so! It should be noted instructions say NOT to lean stiles on gutters, etc. because they get damaged. So only the very TOP should be in contact with wall, etc. NOT for use in wet or dirty (overspray) environments. But it's a great ladder for MANY appropriate situations. DON'T go cheap and buy off brands!

I have owned this ladder for almost 8 years. Retracting the ladder is best done from the bottom up. Click the buttons one at a time while lifting up on the adjacent, above wrung slightly. Makes it much easier. Not recommended for spraying. Have to keep ladder clean as well. Telescopic's need a little care. Excellent ladder.

Paint Life TV ok cool. I've been a painter for 23 years now. I work up here in Las Vegas Nevada & I get lots of side work. I'm Currently working inside a two-story home with a very high vaulted ceiling and one of those ladders would be really helpful. I hate having to lug around full size extension ladder for interior jobs. Not too big on Heights and I'd hate for one of those ladders to fold on me while I'm up top.

great video, however what bothers me about these types of ladders is that after watching just about every video I could find on them I still haven't seen one where anyone goes up higher than 3 or 4 steps. I get the feeling even the people promoting these ladders don't fully trust them.
@christopherpavlicas3 жыл бұрын
You're right, however, where this ladder really shines is not the longer sizes but rather the 12.5 ft size for situations where you need to be a little higher than a standard straight 10 ft ladder and too cumbersome for an extension ladder. It feels safe enough when painting in the 9 ft to 14 ft range. Anything higher just use your extension ladder.

just bought one. Like I have done at least a dozen times before I attempted to pressure wash my townhouse today with this. This thing is a DEATH TRAP. It might be good for some light duty chores around the house, but not for climbing to your roof or pressure washing. The rungs are square and when the ladder is on an angle, (like it should be) you are standing on the corner of these squares rungs they are not angled like they should be; which ends up being very painful with work shoes on. (couldnt last 10 minutes with my sandals on) It bends so much climbing up that it get flush up against the building when you get a little more than half way up. I am 6'0 180 lbs so im far from overweight. Not to mention, each side pivots, not stable at all. Ive worked on ladders most my life, I am 50 now, and I can honestly say, THIS IS A TERRIBLE LADDER, they havent perfected this design yet, although a good concept.
