In my opinion the vdi s on the xterra pro are pretty useless unless they are shallow targets or on beach however over the last few weeks learning and listening to the tones has payed of for me all detectors have there flaws the xterra pro is a great beach detector compared to my brothers simplex at least on Australian beaches 🍻 enjoy your vids
@ohdannyboyjustadiggin Жыл бұрын
I wont go there on the Simplex on the beach. It plain out sucked. That is why I bought the 600. I bought the Xterra Pro as a back up but not after all this. I ran it on the beach it worked ok I found some coins knew they were coins. But man when I take it to the grass. There is something wrong with it. I am not an engineer, not a professional detectorist, but I am not the only one who thinks there is some serious problems with this detector. I might be the only one right now who gave an Honest opinion as of right now.

My xterra pro also picks up beer tops and unfortunately it’s the same vdi as a Australian 1 dollar coin however even so it’s the same number on vdi they have a different tone listening to tones on a single frequency machine at depth is more important than vdi s in my experience 🍻
@ohdannyboyjustadiggin Жыл бұрын
Then why have a VDI on a detector if you like listening to tones. It is an add feature, Just like all the other bells and whistles that come on most detectors today.

I think I have watched all of the X-Terra Pro videos of yours and I think the problem is with the ground and the first videos of the X-Terra Pro and the ground was somewhat Wet Or Had moisture and you Was using the higher Sensitivity and then I seen that video of the jumpy VDI and told you that the sensitivity was to high but the ground was really dry and then I really think it was the ground moisture that is causing the X-Terra Pro problem and nothing to absorb the power of the X-Terra Pro and so it's bouncing off the Dry ground and it will work great for the beach with the moisture in the sand and whoever the testers for the X-Terra Pro must of had some good ground moisture and didn't think to try it out At any Dry ground and possibly some underground electrical and I have a Park that has ALOT of cable's underground and the target Id Is great until you realize that you better not Dig There but when I turn on the target then the EMI shows up and I look ahead and see the transformer in line with me.... but I seriously think it is the ground being so dry that the X-Terra Pro has the jumpy VDI Problem's and like I have said before I have watched I think about all of your Videos and I think it is the moisture from not being there and in all of the Detectors 600 .700 . X-Terra Pro is that there's no moisture and will make it do the same thing on all of the Detectors that you have and the one's that I have watched And if you don't have the X-Terra Pro Anymore then you should of waited and you even mentioned that it's too Dry to detect and I think that's the best solution is to just wait until after some good rain 🌧️ but for now that's what I have come up with and it's not the sensitivity but it's the ground moisture and No Water AND keep lowering the sensitivity down and If the ground is still super dry just don't go out Detecting and have withdrawals like I have LoL 🤣........ but this is what I have noticed after watching your older videos...... and the problems with all of your Detector's......is no ground moisture but the Detectors started out great 👍 and the dry season kicked in and the problems started with the Detectors getting wacky...... I hope this helps everyone else that has experienced the same thing with their Detector's and it's jumpy VDI.......
@ohdannyboyjustadiggin Жыл бұрын
What I meant is I should not be digging in dry grounds as the plugs do not go back right. Man I gave up on the Xterra Pro. Sold it. DId you watch the 700 video the one that says in the Title When you think you heard it all Something on that line. Trashy spot no problems with Vdi ,. I been thinking also Maybe I just got sold a Junk malfunctioning detector from the box to the ground. Or as others would say too that have used it it is very jumpy vdi for them too.. Either way . I would not buy this detector again. If Minelab wants to send me one that works I will be more then happy to give more hours and another Honest Opinion..lol
@carolrice2063 Жыл бұрын
@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin yes I think I have watched that one but I think it is all about the moisture in the ground and the lack of moisture in your videos of different models of Minelab detector's and To bad that you have sold it and not just of waited till some Real Rain 🌧️ has been there and cause like I said before the problem didn't start at the first time you had USED the X-Terra Pro but actually more like the start of the dryer days of August but it's not that time of year either and also you never doing the ground balance to give your detector a chance to see what the ground that it's going to trying to get to know, but I know you just want a turn on and go Detector's and that's not a Minelab Detector At all And any detector ever made has direction's and need to be followed and Read again and again and there's a Valid Reason for the directions to get read, But I still think it was the lack of moisture in the ground that is causing the Problems with the X-Terra Pro and not the detector itself and If you can watch your own videos again and see that the moisture in the ground isn't there anymore and the problems with the X-Terra Pro start and it's not your fault but at the start you are doing well with the X-Terra Pro and not really that much jumpy VDI but pretty much close to the real numbers that are expecting to be at and then the ground starts to get Dry and then I just started to find your channel and told you to lower the sensitivity and but not noticing that the ground was really dry like I have Now and rewatching some of the 700 and the X-Terra Pro videos and it's not your fault but the ground is super deep Dry and that's why it's doing the jumpy VDI and the signal has a certain amount of time to react to the ground bounce back and it being dry the bounce back is almost instantly happening and thus giving you the JUMPY VDI PROBLEM'S and To bad that you sold it before for I got back to you with what I have seen on your videos and the dry, Dry ground and Minelab will not be sending you another Detector because you didn't keep the X-Terra Pro and diagnose the problems with it but I Did and hasn't even have been close to any Minelab detector's and I should be rewarded with it and I have a Simplex and Notka Macro says that they have no idea of the Simplex problem and no more Updates for it but it's needing one and the X-Terra Pro problem is the dry ground......

@@carolrice2063 The Ground condition I will not say it is accurate. I used the Xterra Pro a handful of times on camera as Also on camera And Before I decided to sell the Detector I used it for a few hours after a good rain. Let me say no matter what the ground conditions were I got the same results it is not worth the Money to buy this detector the way it is from the factory. Again if it is me USER error I would have gave a better opinion. I tried . You said underground electrical wires. Well in one of my video Playground. I should an electrical box. digging a pulltab on edge. WOW that would tell me that this detector has no problems being used around under ground electrical wires.. and All I did was a noise cancel when I started that video ..
@carolrice2063 Жыл бұрын
@@ohdannyboyjustadiggin and the electrical problem was with my detector and Only my detector and do I need to say it again My detector and MY DETECTOR WAS AND IS HAVING A EMI PROBLEM'S AND BY you NEVER Ground Balance Anything that is User Error and Everytime time you Use it needs to get the same exact thing done with it Everytime no matter what you think needs to happen and again this is user error and it's not a joke but you think that you can just go with it and hopefully you will get it figured out and find something to brag about but it's not a bounty hunter tracker 4 Or bounty Jr with the just turn on and go Detector's that you are USED to using and if you think that the Minelab X-TERRA Pro Was supposed to be just like the bounty hunter detector and just go with it then WHY did they put on the X-Terra Pro a way for you and everyone else to be able to change the settings and everyone else Video's that I have watched the ground isn't Dry 4 Inches down and again in about all of your Videos with the X-Terra Pro and 1 and Or 2 of the other Detectors your ground is super dry and Even if you got a inch of rain yesterday your ground is still dry and the detector is bouncing right back with the jumpy VDI and I can even see that now after I have watched your video and others that have the X-Terra Pro and s 🤣 have just lowered the sensitivity and worked out great but they have more moisture in the ground there and realizing that was the problem and with you just keep buying the turn on and go Detector's cause your not ready to enjoy the higher end Detectors and ALL THE BUTTONS AND CONFIGURATION THAT IS NEEDED TO HAPPEN TO ENJOY AND AGAIN MINELAB DETECTOR'S ARE MORE COMPLEX THAN THE BOUNTY HUNTER JR THAT IS A TURN ON AND LET'S JUST GO WITH IT AND SEE WHAT WE CAN FIND......

Don’t quite get it your saying because it picks up beer caps it’s a peice of shit so what detectors don’t pick up beer tops after all it is a metal detector 🤔
