basically guys if you didn’t know vantias is one of the true darkness. That explains the split from ventus and why ventus didn’t turn into a heartless or produce a nobody. Vantias took on form and somewhat emotions because of ventus and Sora. Now why this might be important you might ask? They’re situation is the key. As Odin stated the “ONLY” way to defeat the true darkness is to destroy a vessel. Knowing our boi Sora he wouldn’t want to go this route. So unknowingly xahnort created ANOTHER way via separating the true darkness from the vessel. Basically we are going to be seeing more “ vantias’s” in order to save the vessels like the lost masters. Nort in ventus are definitely going to play a big role in this new saga. The only flaw i see in my theory is if the darkness are similar to vantias with an actual face emotions etc after a split of the vessels. They still would be difficult to defeat from soras moral standpoint. Remember Sora tried to get vantias on the good side in kh3 but vantias was like “I am darkness blah blah blah “ 😒

In kh3 he even said he is darkness when him and ventus are talking before sora gets mad but now thinking about the way they say bloodline now I think vanitas and sora appearnce are gonna have more of an importance now. He was supposed to look like that because of the time he was realized ven when to sora heart to rebuild his when sora was a baby but like they keep saying everything is connected and with bloodline they will probably explain that and then that will open up to the true 13 darkness and mom again. We learned xehanort parentage now if we learn sora's and riku's things will probably connect more .

I wonder xehanort ever realized that marliuxia was one of the children from his dreams too. Other than him all the other ones we know of are presumed dead by this point in the story. So basically brain, ephemer, skuld, and our character have all passed on and the only ones left to find were ventus and lauriam

Xahanort did say he chose numbers 9-12 because of their past. So I feel he could have known that marluxia was one of his friends from his dreams. And if he did know then it's just crazy how much he's kept secret. I need to know just how much Nort really knew, including stuff about quadratum.

So I readed a theory that explains why goody and Donald are in the underworld during the end of kh4's trailer. It's because the UW and the last world are apparently connected, as the upperclassman stated they went there.

The Magic Mirror appears to know some of the Union X characters passed and some didn't. So yes it appears the Magic Mirror is telling her she will pass away in a way that will not invalid his prediction, or cause a Paradox.

@@derokdeathaxe6984 Nomura designed Tifa and the bunch but didn't necessarily write them alone. Nomura is not only worker on the series. Ironically I find Axel the most interesting OC of the KH bunch, which might not be much. I'd let a lot slide in story if characters are interesting, but what I have understood Nomura's character writing is not the most interesting out there. He can give them fancy clothes but personality of mannequin doll.

So one thing that’s been on my mind…Odin. This man has both master’s defender AND no name. Per MoM, Luxu was to pass on no name “to his apprentice and his to their apprentice” meaning Luxu HAD to have been Odin’s master….right? Which is odd considering that Luxu exist as Bragi in this time.

Remember we don't know who luxu possed after brain or at what point he was sent into the future. Unlike xehanort, luxus possession style seems to give up the previous host and go to the next.

Darkness can’t exist long without a host it’s why Odin had to bind the Darkness to Balder to keep it from escaping the four trapped in the data world would have faded away by now centuries without a host Vanitas needs Ventus but can’t cope if Ventus is stronger than himself such as now like the MoM and Riku have stated Darkness can be trapped by a strong enough heart I think the real reason he removed Vanitas from Ventus is because if he’d sent Ventus to Eraqus otherwise the latter would have destroyed him seeing how he reacted to the x blade situation

I feel like when xehanort was defeated by sora he realised he was the child of destiny which is why he helped kairi cuz at the end of the day he is what sora would be if he succumbed to daarkness

But then again he did do some extremely shady things on his path lol. Dude had an insane character arc that's for sure.

What I’m confused about is when baldr is taking down the classmates he’s counting down and he includes Bragi. But later we see that bragi is Luxu and they clashed and he came out alive. So did Luxu act like he died in front of Baldr?

I'm still very disappointed that most of the new cast of characters introduced in this story were just killed off so unceremoniously, most of which not getting a chance to even display an actual personality or unique character trait =( even Vidar, one of the few to got more focus, felt kinda boring compared to some like Vala, who only got one actual good scene for displaying her personality and motivations in Beasts castle.

They could've done something very interesting with Vidar since he seemed to have a strong connection with Hoder and her death along with Baldr falling into darkness was a pretty interesting. If only they gave us a bit more backstory like their friendship and added a bit more to some events like Hoder's death since it felt a bit too quick and boring.

Agree. Similarly with Union Cross, we didn't get enough time with the characters (I feel) before everything happened to them, especially with Strelitzia. In Dark Road's case, though, this was way more noticeable. Overall still enjoyable tho!

People complain how Disney hinders KH's story, but honestly the biggest hindrance will always be how little it seems to invest into its OCs excluding their place in the plot. The plot can be as bad or good but good characters can still carry both cases.

I get that we all make it a joke about us raising a monster and we should be ashamed of ourselves, but honestly though, there is no reason to blame the parent when we have seen how the player showered Xehanort with love and though he grew up away from society, Xehanort’s teenage life was filled with love by people around him and he too exhibited good moral and cared for people around him. Like Baldr, they both fell to darkness because of circumstances. It can happen to any one of us. In reality, it’s a tragedy, not something to make fun of.

I'm not too sure how I feel about Vanitas being one of the Thirteen Darknesses. It just seems to make his connection to Ven and Sora much less personal than it was when he was part of Ventus. And it devalues his whole "brothers" speech. Edit: Though I'd certainly appreciate hearing someone's take on this.

I personally think it's fine. To me that darkness has been through so much since UX it lost "itself" becoming molded by the people it was inhabiting and connected to through hearts. It likely forgot it was a darkness at some point and even after remembering, it likely valued having it's own "personality" even if that was only being negative and darkness. In his speech at the end of kh3 he chooses to be darkness with ventus just saying "okay". To me that feels like 1 of two things, he accepted he couldn't change and just decided to be darkness, or he, after gaining feelings and connections chose for himself, to be darkness. I mean, after all darkness doesn't *have* to be evil, but vanitas stuck with it to the end.

But yeah, maybe for once they'll start actually practicing what they preach, because right now, rather than "Darkness isn't evil and Light isn't good" it's more like "Light is good and Darkness is only useful if kept in check by Light."

@@yehiahuzayyin7972 perhaps the concepts of light, darkness, good, bad, when they are all represented as unit vectors in some Hilbert space, the inner product between good and light is close to 1, and the inner product between evil and dark is close to 1, but both are slightly less than 1, while the inner products of light and darkness, and of good and evil, are both -1, because opposites. Or, idk, maybe instead of the inner products of and being -1, maybe it makes more sense for it to be 0, And to have an “the opposite of” operator, where = 1 ? Then, could project the light vector onto the good and bad axiis, where it would have mostly good but some bad, and also some other components. Having a “the opposite of” operator on the Hilbert space, seems to allow a greater range of concepts that can be expressed in this framing, compared to just saying “the opposite of a concept is represented by the negation of the vector representing the first concept.” . (Obviously I don’t mean to suggest that the KH writers are thinking in terms of Hilbert spaces when spouting off about metaphysics and/or (meta)ethics and morality, I just mean as a way to describe ways of thinking about the stuff)

The way they keep hinting at "Dark=/=Evil" only to go back on it in the very next game, sometimes in the very next scene, is just annoying, I mean, even Riku's suddenly become a warrior of Light who only uses Darkness rarely, but again, yours is a good take.
