The argument about “Sora shouldn’t have a destiny as it goes against his character!” is countered by the fact all prophecies are foretold into what’s essentially the Master of Masters’ notes of the future. MoM taking notice of Sora, some kid who happened to stumble into being in the center of everything that’s going on and just so happens to have wonderful empathetic abilities seems like something he would write down.

Agreed, personally I hope they end up playing with the difference that Xehanort grew up knowing he was special and destined for greatness versus Sora growing up unaware of his role.

While I agree with you overall, I think MoM's notes are more history than prediction. He's EFFECTIVELY a time-traveler of a sort in terms of his knowledge. Suppose a future person came back in time and told you who the next President would be. Are they making a prediction/prophecy, or are they quoting history? That said, we already know Sora is special since his ability to connect to other hearts has been noted as special as far back as KH2 if not Chain of Memories. It's been part of his character since basically every game after the very first.

the dialogue of eraquis saying "we only became keyblade masters 1 year ago...." makes me realize their 1st falling out is a little over a year after Xehanort met the master of masters. he'd already gotten his 1st black coat, he'd gotten no-name, and had MoM's name revealed to him, and dedicated himself towards an expansion of darkness, and it took a massive 12 months for this falling-out to start. i had honestly thought it would have happened much sooner.

To answer your question about xeohnort having players memories. The player from Union reincarnated into blue robe guy (who is also presumable the player charecrer in missing link). Blue robe took xeohnort to destiny island, and live with xeohnorth there. Because xeohnort has those empathatic power, and was super close to blue robe, he dreamed about blue robes memories from their first life as player charecter in Union.

Im pretty sure Baldurs darkness definitely wasn't one of the 13 darknesses. It was the darkness within him getting powerful from baldur also having the same empathetic powers that xeohnort has, and also from baldur himself going to darkness. Also, you can watch baldurs descent into darkness when hes recovering. Day 1 is normal, then each day his thoughts get darker and darker as the shadow behind him grows. On another note, vanitas is confirmed to be one of the 13 darkness which was obvious but cool to have confirmed. I'm just curious which one he is. Did the 4 trapped in the data worlds get out? Did the 2 who died when the world ended, really not die? Did the 7 in the lost masters escape? or did the master skip taking on his own darkness, and only did it to the other 6 foretellers? Personally, I think at least one of the 2 that died, never really died, because he obviously hid within Ventus, and there was already a darkness messing with ventus, plus we saw the player trap those other 4. Also, its crazy that Luxu has had a darkness in him this whole damn time... unless the darkness stayed in his original body from unionX. Also, i wonder what having a ancient darkness in you would do, because it seems like it didn't really do jack to luxu. Dark roads gave some great answers, and so many new questions to ponder from those answers. Also, i think dark road was basically just a giant advert for missing link, because the hype is real now.

Xehanort has the memories from blue robe aka player because he is a child of destiny who can connect his heart with others like Sora , Long story short xehanort is just like sora but he chose the Dark Road

I think something to note that’s hasn’t been mentioned is that Ventus appeared in the timeline where xehanort was older after leaving daybreak town because xehanort was able to remember Ventus through the player characters memories. Remember in order for time travel to work someone has to be waiting for your arrival at a destination with a memory of you. Since xehanort most likely knows about time travel by the time he is old, he also knew Ventus would be able to arrive at his timeline. Just thought this was a cool detail that might have went unnoticed.

@@paulelliott3361 remember Sigurd came to talk to brain and said it was “prophesied” that he would would come and give him his hat, it very well could’ve been luxu or ephemer that told Sigurd that prophecy but who knows.

I think Riku is the Child of Destiny, and that Sora is also the Child of Destiny but in a different way- he's the Child of Destiny's Destiny. Just remember what Kairi said, "one sky, one destiny".

Interesting you bring that up. George Lucas has said that Anakin is the Chosen One, but more recently, the Star Wars Story Group has played around with the idea that there could be multiple people who fill that role( I.e.Luke, Leia, Two)

I do believe the darkness inside Baldr is one of the True Darknesses. One of the two that survived the destruction of the world. They assumed they were destroyed when the world collapsed.

I too would love to see Luxu's various semblances. He's got at least 400 years worth of them after all. Not including switching if something unexpected came up ala Bragi's circumstances. As for what happens though...? Well we do have a clue! Hades mentioned that one already took up residence. I'm thinking that was the real Bragi that perished and thus had to stay behind.

Xehanort as a child was an empath able to view the memories and dreams of those close to him. He doesn't seem to do this with anyone other then his caretaker, though Xigbar does say that Xehanort seems to be able to read minds in KH2(the scene where he and Ienzo are talking). Other characters that have this ability Xion does, taking in the memories of those she is close to. Namine's memory powers might also be connected to this empathy ability. Baldr has the ability to sense Light and Darkness within peoples hearts. Xehanort might also have this ability, as he can see the darkness in several people in Dark Road. This however doesn't seem to be the same ability as being able to take in memories. Aqua, Riku, and Ienzo have all shown signs of being able to sense dark and light as well, and none of them have the empathy power. There is a third power that is talked about in Dark Road. The ability to connect and share your heart with others. Something that Sora does naturally, and Xehanort does forcefully. Xehanort might have been able to do what Sora does as a child. However I think that when he closed himself off, as he clearly is as as young man Xehanort in DDD and KH3 that he lost the ability to do in naturally. Dark Road seems to be trying to say that all three abilities are in fact one ability. However as I pointed out we have characters that have one of these abilities but not the other two. Or have two of the abilities but not the last one. It does seem that at some point Xehanort had all three of them(maybe or maybe not at the same time), granted the last one he might have only had artificially I am not sure. This Child of Destiny seems to either have all three, or there is more then one child and everyone is reading the prophesy wrong. I will note that Sora has the ability to connect, and is slowly gaining the power to look into others memories, I wouldn't be surprised if he learned to see light and dark after being in Quadratum a place which doesn't have much of either. That said I do think that Riku might also be growing the other two abilities just more subtly then Sora is.

3:15 - If you don't already have an answer: Player from Union Cross was reincarnated as Player 2 (I'm calling him/her) from Missing Link, who survived whatever events happen there and became Blue Hood. Xehanort's heart is special, kinda like Sora's, in that it can connect easily to other hearts. He basically connects/mind-reads Blue Robe's memories and they become his dreams when he sleeps. That's why he dreamed of Player's memories, because Player 2, as a reincarnation of Player, had vague echos of those memories. So in a nutshell, Xehanort mind/heart-read's Blue Robe's memories of Blue Robe's previous life as Player (Union Cross) And Xehanort seems NOT to be the Child of Destiny (that was likely Sora), though you could go with an Anakin Skywalker "Chosen One" thing, I suppose... Hope that helps.

Isn't Xehanorts heart a type of heart that can deep connect to other people's and feel what it is they are feeling and see what they've been through over their lifetime etc. Hence in some scenes in Dark Road when Baldr when he's been taken over by darkness, Xehanort ends up holding his heart/chest and feeling the sadness inside Baldr.

Xehanort can still be the child of Destiny, his actions led to Sora going against him, nothing would have progressed without Xehanort. We associate the child of destiny as being a force for good but that’s not necessarily the case. His end goal was very similar to characters like Pein or Sasuke in the original Naruto series, they were both antagonist to the hero but not necessarily villains even though they committed evil deeds their end goal was to create peace.

Did anyone else realize Baldr's "vessels of darkness" is wrong and he know it? Like with everything that happened he said Xehanort and Eraqus would make the final 2 but if you count he still be missing 1. The only way it could work is if the darkness killed Baldr himself. You could say "well Xehanort and Eraqus don't know what we know" but again if that the case was it Darkness true goal just to kill him to get whatever his goal was? Also the darkness cutscene when Baldr explains how he got ride of everyone hurts my brain with how they did it

See, hearing that Baldyr had a darkness in him made me think he was another Ventus/Venitus. That one of the great darkness, the true darkness, dwell within him. Maybe that show or force was what lead Xehanort to look for another, and find Ventus.

Scala, I think, by Dark Road's time seems pretty abandoned. We see no other people and you can't tell me that is a limitation on the system like the PSP or GBA. That said, we also see these large graveyards which gives the idea a lot of people died. The other side of the thought is Odin didn't save any of the other students. I had a funny little thought while listening to your video though. If there were survivors from the attack, where are those keyblade wielders now? How many are still alive? How many realities did they spread out to?

Nope destiny is about choice and how are actions shape it. Sora is an ordinary boy. And that's just fine it doesn't change destiny. Only your choices or lack there of can do that. This is great storytelling. It matches Harry to an extent. Harry Potter is an ordinary boy worse really because he's been abused for as long as he can remember. And yet because of the choices made by adults when and before he was born. He ends up the boy who lives. The one destined to be voldermort rivel or success. Voldermort chose violence. He forever forced the hands of Harry by killing his parents and hunting him in the first few years. That and his followers behavior. Forever forcing them to be at odds. The same is done here Riku could have been the child of destiny however he failed the first trial. He lost the right to the kingdom key. That will remain lost to him this changes his destiny. Or seals it. Sora continues to look into others hearts and draws upon their light. He from thw moment of his birth has been reaching out and healing others with his strong heart and kind soul. Whereas everyone else with his powers has fell to darkness or chosen it. He has not. And his brief time he did made him almost lose it forever. This is destiny your choices or lack there of shape it and Sora did exactly what was foretold now can he do it again
