That's not even scratching the surface when it comes to how much of this game is a lie. You DON'T get to evolve to Champion, Ultimate then Mega like the ACTUAL Digimon World games; It's either to a Rookie you DIDN'T choose to start with or a Mega. You're either stuck with swords or guns. In a game where you play AS A DIGIMON THAT *DOESN'T NEED THAT SHIT.* The entire game plays like something outta Legend of Zelda, but isn't this supposed to be a DIGIMON WORLD game? Y'know, the games that let you raise as many Digimon as you want, basically becoming a Tamagatchi game on steroids? This entire game is a FFFFFFFFFUCKING LIE and the real "Digimon World 4" was Digimon World DS.

@@JamezJN007 it's torture I tell you. Not fun at all, but the time you get an evolution in one saves, getting another is slightly less grind. I didn't even complete the evolution compendium, after like few times playing ng+ I just gave up.

Ah yes the only digimon games that makes us lost into many biomes & mazes. Literally no hint, direction or whatsoever where we should go. Its the most hardest digimon games ever IMO, its very reccomended to bring buddies since it can be not forgive mistakes. Continue progress with emulator + save scumming and completely stuck after fighting 2nd boss & ride a mine-train

​@@larrywatson3537 and then what? the ingame manual only cover basic gameplay mechanic, not kind of guide/hint/pointer that tells player to which way for progressing the story. Unlike pokemons which had linear story pathway, this doesn't have any, just "hey you beat this guy at ..." then refused to elaborate the details. Even the guide online or someone gameplay videos didn't really help much because hardly found one.

Defense attack only 1 second duration We get damage if touch enemy. But we need close to attack With gun, we can attack from far but. Its hard to shoot right on enemy Some enemy has shoot like numemon

The Digimon World series is pretty funny in the sense that it feels like they can't decide on a gameplay mechanic to stick to so it doesn't even feel like a game series. The first game was very unique and original and it went downhill from there as they become generic games of different genres but with a Digimon theme. 3 was still fun but 4 was some whole new level of garbage.

In DW3 we use equipment too but just to increase digimon stats, no display on battle. I just do not like the way digimon fights, using swords or other weapons. no map for this grinding dungeon games, no clues or hints where should we go. Maybe gonna try it just because of the digimon and their digivolutions.

This game would be so much better if it weren't so grindy, to equip a better weapon you need high tech(skill) which is differ between weapon types (also skills) and it's capped by your level with extreme distances between tier (there's an a,b,y, etc. ver. of weapons but that just dull). Literally most of my time playing this game was spent on the enemy spawner on death valley Oh and if you evolve into another digimon your tech skill and lv doesn't carry over to the new digimon, basically resetting your progress. Not to mention equipment with slots is pretty rare, this is like an mmo except it's not actually an mmo I like this game, spent a lot of time with it, but sadly I have to say that this is a bad game
