When changing laser heads do you change the power unit. Just bought the 40w and 10W pro, and haven't yet put it together. Thanks for your video. Very straight forward.

Thanks! No, no need to change the power unit when going back to the older laserhead. Thanks for watching!

@@LastLegWoodworks Hey Guys, I beg to differ on the power supply. Although some would say that it's no big deal, my 40w upgrade has an 8amp output which is higher than my smaller diode module.
@LastLegWoodworks Жыл бұрын
@@Cheshire-Coatings I think I assumed that the 8 amp unit would be installed since he bought the 40w unit and that power supply is what comes with it. My advice was regarding if he switches back to the 10w head. In that case he can keep the 8 amp power supply in place.

Did i need to buy the 20 w d1 Pro to replace with the 40 w upgrade , or could I have got the same effect from the cheaper 10w D1 pro and upgraded the module ?

I just upgraded my 5w. It has to be a Pro though. And you can swap back out after the upgrade, if you want more detail.

Jake is right, you can upgrade any of the Pro machines to the 40W. Thanks for watching!
