XTOOL Advancer AD20 Pro Review

XTOOL Advancer I was able to review it. It is an exciting device I would like another one to compare to this $80 ODB II scanner. This was a nice device for what I was expecting. I did run into a few things, but they were responsive, and put them on a list to fix.

Everything is free. Only thing is that you have to use their app. You can't pair it with any other apps that are out there... and there are many . But - it is 100 💯 free

Thanks for your video…I don’t understand what is so “pro” about this version of the scanner… I got the latest version of the regular xtool scanner and I don’t see the difference… it seems to have the same functions.

I think there is just more in-depth car checks on the pro. otherwise it is the same.

​@@GrayaOverloadthis obd scaner sucks. You can't even clear codes like in cheap vgate or different elm327. I had Kia Rio 2012 with airbag light on and mil engine but this wonderful device didn't find anything wrong. This is bullshit device.

It could not work well with your car. For the cars I had it worked fine but I would always check with your car before knowing it if really worked. If you purchase thru amazon I always am prepared to return a product.

Does this check the brake system? I was told by garage my car needs break pads and discs but it hasn’t got many miles on it.

If it is with your pads and rotors it won't help you there, They are not computerized. I have replaced my share of pads and rotors. I would take a look myself to double-check. You can take off your tires and check. If you know someone that works on their cars you can always ask them.

AD20 Pro is a big miss due to the fact that they limit you to one car. The interface is gimmicky and doesn't really tell you which modules (if more that one) are being checked. My advice is to pony up the extra cash and get the XTool A30M which is light years beyond the AD20 Pro. The big bonus for the A30M is that it is the first relatively low cost tool that does a significant amount of diagnostics with free updates. The A30M is good enough that a real car repair shop can find it useful.

Hi, thank you on video. I m just wondering, will it work on car that is sold outside of US. Some of them have written that all these Euro, Asia, US cars that are sold in US. And then they answer me as it can be on European cars. It comes from country where they are bad at English as you said, so I m wondering will it work on cars sold in Germany? Also, what you will say is here the most useful thing on app/device, why it is worth the price? Thanks, bye

I have no idea if it will work on cars outside the US. Maybe someone else can help with that. It is an ODB2 connection. For me I like reviewing the live data, can show a lot. Also the DCT scans and erase feature when you fix something cleaning codes.

It appears to only fully function on US cars. It does not recognise EU vin numbers so only preforms a basic scan based on Manufacturer not specific cars.

I believe you are right. I think you need a more expensive tool for that.
