I have a D8BT and one of the weaknesses of this, and it seems like all scanners, is inability to determine if a module is present or not. Sometimes you can get clues from online modules reporting no-comm codes with the offline modules, but that does not always happen. If a module shows grey it is up to the operator to pour over the vehicle configuration (in my case RPO codes) and determine if a greyed module is present and should be online or not installed.
