@marlagibson8430 Жыл бұрын
Do you think the roller/extension you used for your long board would work for fabric? One issue with laser cutting fabric is that the air-assist blows the cut and semi-cut pieces in the laser’s path and ruins your cuts. You tightened the rollers on the board which made me think perhaps it would help with fabric if it goes down that much since fabric is so thin.

I'm new and still researching these laser machines...the gweike pro boasts on their site to ingrave on slanted surfaces...I know that isn't exactly curved but would the xtool be able to do that because I figure curved is more complex than slanted. Next question....I see the gweike does 3d laser engraving with wood and the xtool doesn't. Not that big of a deal to me....I'm just looking for the one that's most versitle, and you have to keep your consumers interested in what services you offer to keep them coming back. Not that I don't like wood projects, but from what I've seen, the market is saturated with people doing wood. Not that I wouldn't love to do wood but with everyone doing it you would have to be very creative and a dang good salesman to rise above everyone else doing it. I guess I just need a multi use one to help it pay for itself and not be stuck with a huge expensive dust collecting paper weight. Should someone start with a cheaper laser to get the hang of things before diving into something like this or no? Thanks for your help
@CorneliusCreations Жыл бұрын
Hey Man! 1) This will engrave slanted surfaces with the curved function in Creative Space. 2) I'm not sure what you mean by 3d laser engraving? @hangupanddrive Жыл бұрын
@@CorneliusCreations I'm not sure I would consider it "made for the desktop market". How many people have desks with that much clearance around the front and rear for running long cuts of materials through it. The engraver is pretty huge for a desktop model, taking up darn near the entire desk.

But I think to @CorneliusCreations point, this laser was made to compete against the glowforge, muse, and other desktop laser brands. When you compare the spec sheets between desktop models, this holds more features and for many people was only sub 4k.
