You can totally say 10 years ago it was different time in terms of gender issues, people sometimes should watch it back and realize how far we've come. No show would now allow to air comments like "more manly songs" and "it's more emotional when it's girls". I've always been a feminist but I admit I didn't always call people out on comments like these. Back in the day it could cause even more mysoginy. Now it's almost a crime when people ignore such statements. We should appreciate the times we live in.

I watched everything only this year on KZbin and I had no idea of the hate until I started watching the Xtra factor and I was like "WTF, why?!".She enjoys theatrics,but she never came across as a diva to me.She is a fighter and I have never heard any voice that sounded like her AND she is like one of the most beautiful contestants ever. I can only say the whole thing was downright bullying.

I agree that Katie has a great voice, but in this season there was no "voted 2nd". Dermot kept saying several times the names were called in no particular order.

I honestly feel like Katie’s problem is that the audience doesn’t get the kind of artist that she is, which is weird because they got Diana vickers so it’s weird that they don’t get Katie because they are definitely different kinds of artists, I don’t know but it’s kinda strange to me how they don’t get Katie

I swear to god that sometimes the judges care more more about their category winning, than nurturing the people who have talent, and can win. I think Louis is such a jerk for putting Wagner in as his Wildcard, instead of someone like Alesha (from judges houses) who had serious talent and wanted to be a singer. And It upsets me that he also put so much energy into the Wagner performances and neglected John, who was a great singer.

But I am there with you, I think Katie had one of the best voices of any X factor season, I really do.
