On the latest episode of Xtreme Memories with Kris Kloss, Kris sits down with XPW original and one of the most controversial figures in the history of XPW, Billy Welch also known as The Messiah. @@theopeningset The XPW episode will have some serious competition for that title in season 3 in my opinion. It will be up against FMW, The Smith Family, Brian Pillman, Bruiser Bedlam, Dynamite Kid, and Collision in Korea. Nick Gage and Chris Kanyon will also be on S3 but those stories are pretty small compared to the other stories and also there are more topics yet to be revealed. Saying I'm hyped for S3 would be a massive understatement.

I just wish he'd be more willing to accept his legacy. He seems like he always wants to distance himself from what he's done in the business. Even when joey acknowledged his importance. I rarely made signs for XPW shows. But for “Scene of the Crime” I made a big Messiah sign. Whole 9 yards: found a GREAT picture in WOW Magazine, drew three crosses (as were on Golgotha), put him right front and center, drew intricate barb wire details. Man I worked like crazy! I sat right on the entrance way that night. The Black Army came to the ring, cut a promo and on his way back, Messiah spotted me and my sign. Although he was a heel, he acknowledged me and gave me a form “handshake”. I was so stoked. Dude was my favorite. I wanted nothing more than to see him be XPW champ and eventually make it to the big time. I’m glad he’s got a great life and is happy. He deserves it.

Great interview. Nice to have some insight and I didn't know Billy hated the character of Messiah so much. It was really awesome in the early 2000s, I got to see Messiah at IWF in Michigan 4 times. He and Adam Flash came out here and it was awesome. Always loved his matches in CZW and one of thr bright spots in XPW also. Saw him love when I drove all the way out to Philly for CZQ Cafe of Death as well.

As a fan, that attended Baptized in Blood 3: Night of Chanpions on July 20th 2002, let me share my point of view. I had front row tickets to that show, in fact, I ran a fan site, and a lot of us got a really good price on front row tickets. Word had gotten out about a match or two in that Messiah was at the show. (2002 keep in mind) I remember Sick Nick was floating around, I mean Sick Nick was having the time of his life at that show. And because Nick Mando was everywhere, a few of us put one and two together and came to the conclusion that Nick was there with Messiah. Word also was out that Shane Douglas was going to be the surprise. That Johnny Webb and Shane Douglas match was awful. Yes there was beach balls, beach balls during that match were getting a Road Warriors pop! XPW security would take a beach ball and another one would appear. Nobody was watching the Webb, Douglas match and because the beach ball was in play, those eyes eventually spotted The Messiah. The Messiah was on the last row, opposite from the wrestler entrance. At some point during the webb, Douglas match, The messiah got up from his seat and some fans spotted him. The chants for Messiah were loud! I mean beach ball level loud. I remember (front row) Rob Black spotted The messiah as well, and Sick Nick, Messiah Chants, Beach Balls, you name it, was the result of the fans having enough of XPW shitting on the fans. I can go more into detail, but you get the point, Messiah maybe doesn’t remember the chant but anyone else that attended will back up this story. Side Note, because of my fan site connections and being cool with SoCalUncensored.com, Sick Nick actually hanged out with the whole crew after the show in the parking lot for a while before he took off. Very Memorable night, not for what took place in the ring however.

This is one of the most "realistic" interviews I have seen. This was completely enjoyable to watch. Billy is very forth coming on alot of situations that happened. lizzzy borden wants nothing to do with wrestling and as remarried after the divorce from rob black. she is also now sober and not the same person as she used to be. I know this because i used to see lzzy borden and her husband at a horror movie Convention that I used to go every year. to promote her own horror movie clothing company.

I think because by the time the incident happened the fbi got to him so it’s pointless by then to get charged the thumb incident. Plus no one admitted to anything so it’s all assumption like the OJ case. Even though the finger points at the culprit, we know who was behind it. It’s pretty much like that.
