Exactly what I'm thinking. I tried Arknights, Higan, ToF, HSR, Aether Gazer, Alchemy Stars, and other gachas I forgot the name of. I always thought that any character from either game universe would fit into the world of each other because their art direction are so similar to each other. That is, saturated busy modern wear. Some aren't even tech wear. The only gacha I found to have unique designs is Reverse 1999 and Punishing Gray Raven with their Yoji Shinkawa and Nier like minimalist tech wear designs. A far cry from colorful maximlist approach of other games.

I now headcanon that X thought of the cartoon shorts himself, and even did some of the art, before roping John Titor in to help with voice acting. He may have been inspired by old movie shorts that acted as educational aids, or just old 1930s cartoons as well.
