This is an extremely dark indoor roller coaster. The POV is a representation of what is seen when experiencing this ride in person.

How did you get the details so sharp and full of detailed? Even though it's a very dark coaster. I did try to make an onride myself with my Hero 12, but if I see this onride.. wow 🤩! What presets did you use, and what camera? Thanks for making this video!

This was a very average coaster before the retheme, and the retheme sounded absolutely ridiculous on paper. However, they absolutely nailed it and it’s now one of my favourite rides in the park. The audio definitely adds a lot to the ride for sure.

The infernal galop makes so much more sense on an indoor rollercoaster. Also Georges Méliès would be so proud! I am living for all these rollercoasters themed to great thinkers of 20th and 21st Century. First Voltron, then this even more explicitly than Space Mountain. Yep! Gimme more. I want Derrida hypercoaster next please

… A loop is just a gallop with an inversion… 🧐💙 Using this term in this context, caught me off guard. Metaphor, clearly, but to what elements were you specifically referring, was my question. The internet just doesn’t have anything on those two words together, apparently lol My best guess, you’re talking about much shorter dips with an overall much more even descent, as opposed to various drops to the desk and fewer crests before another. It makes sense indoors, because it’s not as big a footprint, since it can bounce around (gallop) underneath itself 😄💙 and here we can see all that structure put to additional use, isolation and immersion Calling it infernal reveals your preference for bigger drops, I think - and at least generally speaking 😅💙 I don’t think I’ve been on many (smaller?) rides that are so compact, this doesn’t seem similar to a mouse trap ride, this isn’t nearly flat enough. This seems more dynamic. 💙
@Firegen13 ай бұрын
@InimicalWit No the Infernal Galop is the proper name for the Can-Can dance music. It's from Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld written in 1874. The images in the ride even look like variations of Paris Revue poster in 1878. I am annoyed my phone removed the second L, but never mind. Your ideas are interesting but as you did it with a bit of a smug tone, take the backslap for being significantly less well read on literature and opera.
@Firegen13 ай бұрын
@XtremeCoasters I am trying to imagine what that would be. Derrida was a deconstructionalist so my thought is the baseline version of a family coaster but maybe advertised as as a hyper coaster. It is a coaster for famously hyper people. It just ends with the line above the riders heads "You will always return to the water" With no other explanation. I can't promise it would be fun, but there would be a load of students going "oooohhhhh" at the end 😆

This reminds me a bit of the extremely rare Vakoma indoor Illusion coaster, though this layout is way more interesting and intense, Illusion was a pretty tame ride. Only 2 Illusions were ever built, only one is still running (Revolution at Bobbejaanland). Illusion's layout is an inner and outer spiral, one you climb up slowly while looking down into the center at a variety of practical/optical effects and theming (it changes every now and then to refresh the ride and has included the use of 3D glasses and VR helmets are various times), followed by faster spiral back down that has various dips and climbs. All of this was set to a booming soundtrack, which also rotated along with the other theming), typically it was some kind of electronic music. The most unique thing about Illusion is that they run 60 passenger trains (30 cars, 2 people per), and are 56 meters long. I rode it's counterpart, Chaos, that was installed at Opryland in Tennessee, US (an amusement park that went defunct in the late 1990s). Layout wise, it's not particularly interesting, but it had a beefy sound system with thumping electronic music as well as some trippy 3D visuals (thanks to polarized 3D glasses we were given to wear on the ride). The length and weight of the train is what was the really fun part though, hard to describe but moving at a decent clip in something that big and heavy while also pulling a moderate amount of lateral Gs, felt really cool. Of all the major rides at Opryland, it was probably the weakest, but it was definitely unique and interesting in it's own right.
