@@xtrullor can I ask how do you find the power and the emotions to create your music? Everytime it feels like that energy creates the will in myself to be better every day that passes

@@micpyrex7289 It comes from being immensely inspired by existential and somatic psychology, philosophy and the concepts like heroism and its myths. I'm very fascinated by the nature of the psyche of an individual, how it can grow tall, pushing through obstacles, creating alongside nature. In my personal life, my psyche was in shambles for the longest time. Identifying with being weak, not having the best role models, not getting along with people all that well. It lead to a crescendo of mental issues that I was forced to confront. It was at its worst a decade ago, which is when I first decided to actually do something about it and get better. It led into a long, long rabbithole of research because I didn't find the solutions that I was given working all that well. I felt like there was something more that was being left out. There was a lesson I had learned through music, is that there was an authentic way to do it, and then the inauthentic way to do it - you do it for yourself, or you do what others want. In this split, I started wondering if this duality extends to bigger themes - and so I started discovering the psychological nuances of authenticity and inauthenticity, some of which you can read about from Arno Gruen and Alexander Lowen for an example. There is a deep set psycho-somatic aspect to authenticity. The less connected you are to your body and its visceral felt emotional system, the more you start acting more or less unconsciously through a prefered self-image, behaving according to a perception instead of how you genuinely feel (feelings you are also partly unconscious of due to having "trained" yourself for so long). You then try to maintain it for the outside world and yourself. It might not be as noticeable to the usual person because it feels like your normal everyday personality, but at worst cases we see it as the pattern of narcissism which makes it very obvious to everyone (but not to the narcissist due to this lack of self-awareness). At the core, you find subconscious fear of going inward to deal with what's in there, so it is founded upon autophobia. But what if you learn that there IS such a thing as a false self, and you decide to go forward, deep into the dragon lair of your mind and body, despite how nervous and uncomfortable you feel? Wouldn't that establish in yourself bravery you never had before, culminating in heroism? The psycho-somatic releasing, owning and processing the repressed memories of events as a wiser self today breaks the false self and lets you live in the real one. The one that is not merely an image trying to shield you from the external world (and with its presence, burning yourself with neurosies), but the one that is genuinely outward looking and wishes to create ever so more. The one that naturally enjoys itself and knows to be capable of dealing with the challenges of life. You are capable of doing way more than you'd think - "you" just need to get out of your own way. There is great power in knowing this. The better you know yourself, your authentic values, authentic likes and dislikes, your background, your skills, your talents - you enable a visionary state of mind. You can begin to think of plans in your mind that give you butterflies in your stomach, or even make you nervous thinking of doing it. Follow the goosebumps, because that's where the leading edge of your humanity resides. It brings focus to build up exactly what you need. From a fool to a magician. You become bright star spreading the light into the world, a flower striving to spread its petals and blossom in all its splendour. You have all the freedom to engage in it or not. So why not go for it? You never know where you find yourself over the years, especially when you follow your natural individual tastes and intuition for what is right for you personally. I certainly didn't expect to find myself at this point in life, feeling great, self-assured, and doing exactly what I love and living by it - I didn't even expect my style to become what it is today. There is an interesting mystery to your own being and its potential. It takes character to truly engage in it, but you've got all the tools and information around you to make it possible. It's a golden age of learning, with many paths to the deep knowledge of yourself, so let's accept the challenge and become a hero in our own myth.

I didn't know Xtrullor kept making music, I still remember the first time I found Xtrullor, this might seem weird, but I had a dream once, one that was so mind fking, where the existence of the universe was because of a giant fetus encapsulated kinda like the final boss of Macros Scrambled Valkyrie, but this entity was being guarded by some kind of blue elf alien looking omnipotent being that with his mind alone bended reality and casted a huge hologram structure like thing with his mind alone away from earth, in order to test people if they were worthy of being warriors, and a couple days after I found Xtrullor's song: Authority, it encapsulated perfectly the massive power and the stress of trying to survive this elf alien trial, and he explained why it's important not to wake up the baby, and that there are those who want to wake him up, keep it up Xtrullor, you are something else :)

Wow whoa. Thanks so much! This was such a nice surprise to wake up to, first time I ever seen something on this level coming from anyone. I'm still working on the merch stuff in the background. I want it to be good, something even I would want myself. I don't want it to be just some quickly thrown together stuff that's just a some cheap advertisement you could wear, but something legitimately interesting and stylistic. I'm putting together the designs myself over time, and when I'm ready, I'll unleash them to the people whoever desires them. Yeah, if I were to "catch up" these days, I should be making riddim. Turns out, I am really not a fan of riddim, instead I am diverting into metal if anything else. I still have a soft spot for electronic music, just that the musical taste developed into a direction where the culture I belonged to left me. I still enjoy the elegance of sound design, just that something like Tipper and Koan Sound are what I still enjoy, instead of this new breed of composotionally straightforward headbanger stuff. I don't even get the headbanging nods to today's electronic anymore. I do get it from djent now though. There is something I always thought about chasing trends, compared to making music I like personally: Maybe it's not that I am lacking behind the culture. But that I am preparing for culture to catch up on me when the time comes. The cultural conditions shift and change constantly. It used to be dubstep, big room, color bass, what have you over the years. You never know when people get bored of one thing or an another, how they grow up and change their music tastes, and whatever else could occur to shift the interest of the listener. But there was always that one guy who created a style that the culture at one point noticed and got obsessed with - and others began copying it at large. I am taking my years to work my craft and patiently meet that point in time. And when the time comes, I stand a king among many of the style.

I say that every time you release a song but this one has such good audio blending and it sounds sooo smooth. The opening hits so differently- it sets the tone for the serious and intense mood of the song but has a sense of “everything is going to be okay”

Woa I did not expect this. A lot of interesting ideas going on, though I feel like for the first drop maybe some sort of different basses would have fitted? It did feel like maybe some low end was missing or just something in the middle. I do really like the second drop, it feels really damn powerful and that guitar fit quite nicely. 3:25 gives me a hit that few other songs replicate. It transcends being awesome and epic or being an absolute headbanger, it feels like a massive release of energy even if I’m not really doing much while listening to it. The only other songs that elicit this feeling in me are Future by Paramore and your own Catharsis. It’s safe to say that this is yet another one of your masterpieces and I’ll treasure every time it plays on shuffle. It’s wonderful to see how far you’ve come in 10 years, starting with brash dubstep with not much meaning beyond making you dance, into making some of the most profound, completely wordless emotional rollercoasters I’ve ever heard. You outdo yourself with every single track you release and I honestly hope you never stop making music.

yea dude I love ur type of music and it just make this most sense to me, it’s like a orchestral type of dubstep. I’m amazed how talented you are to combine such simple and complicated beats and chords all in and it ends out smooth, i first started listening to your songs when i saw “supernova” (still one of my favorites bcuz omg it’s amazing) and I saw your channel and i started and was like, “idk how but this can just get to me”, so like every time I felt down I listened to one of your songs and it got me all hyped, I usually listen to your older songs(I bet you crashed FL studio bcuz of it) like supernova, ego death, reverie, and my favorite for some reason sphero. Maybe one day, maybe one day... I haven't even tried marketing my music at any point, and I haven't been as active as I should. I think things are a-changing in the next years to come, considering this is now my livelihood. Just gotta figure out a way to grow and sustain myself without compromising my work - chasing trends always felt dirty. Why compete with what everyone does when you can create your own niche and stand out there. Perhaps that's where I am supposed to go.
