Being a top chinese player is hard , theres maybe 50 players that can beat you if you aren't playing at 95% ability.

Yes. Since there are a lot of good and young players in China.

Video quality looked like from the 80s, but I still very appreciate it!
@jochenbuthe753 жыл бұрын
Maybe there is too much compression on that video material. Coach ERT. It seems, the quality posted by "247 tabletennis" is really better. Maybe you can use that?

Lin was lightening fast in this game . See some of his service returns , would dent anyone's confidence. Xu appeared to have slowed down considerably.

it is epic for this young guy! well played near shot flips

Lin's actions are more like Zhang Jike, no? Very firm on ground with short jabs

Will the player with best results participate in Tokyo games?
@JimAssalone3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the best but also most consistent at high level. Xu Xin will most likely make it because of overall record and being an excellent left handed doubles player for men doubles and mixed doubles. He is just about unbeatable against defensive players also so he fills a lot of rolls.
@jameszheng76993 жыл бұрын
Not really. It's said that the best players if the tournament will qualify for the single games of next world championship, Top 16 will qualify for China Super league of TT, Top 5 together with the best results of junior players will qualify wtt China tournaments

@1:37 you can see XuXin's RPB doing good things for him ... but by @1:42 XuXin tries to cover his Backhand corner instead of relying on his RPB more ... so he struggles and initiates FH-loop ... and gets out of position ( he is dependent on Turn-around FH on his backhand corner ) ... wastes a good rally .... and dumps the ball in the net ....

@thomasleifseth52013 жыл бұрын
Lin Shidong is NOT better player compared to Xu-Xin! If they played 10 matches i bet xu xin wins 8 of them at least. Lin has nothing to loose, he knows xu xin is better so he played without fear, xu xin had to defend his place so is far Worse for him to loose this. Lin was expected to loose. Once a while this happends when the better player just loose😀

Not really. He just changed his blade and 3 out of 5 is much easier to pull off upset then 4 out of 7. Remember, all the top guys have losses due to amount of sets played.

>Myung Kim >4 hours ago > @Spicy Nyampire yeah its definitely a loss for the sport... but this guy >sayin it like its a good thing @@myungkim861 You don't even know me and you are commenting. Losing variety in any sport is never a good thing for the sport. We need coaches who are deadly serious about training Top10 WorldClass Penhold players and defense players and all sorts of techniques. Sadly many coaches dont care except to recommend shakehand and some rubber+blade and ride on their players victories.

XX losing isn't about penhold vs handshake, any Chinese could lose in national games, it's very competitive and they know each other quite well.
@tobacco1183 жыл бұрын
@Spicy Nyampire You ain't very bright. There're very few PH players, maybe 2. Unless it's 50-50, it doesn't tell anything. And if you truly know the game, top Chinese players frequently lose in Chinese national games.
@tobacco1183 жыл бұрын
@Spicy Nyampire The topic is XX losing in this competition, not PH vs HS since LGL's time, you're shifting the goalpost quite a bit. And if you're truly Chinese, you would've known top Chinese often lose in internal competition, regardless PH or HS. It doesn't say much. PH on the decline due to ITTF rule is a different topic altogether.
