I only listened to the piece by Schubert, which was exceptional, even though it's not technically extremely difficult.

This is a benchmark performance of Schubert's D.784, a notoriously difficult piece to interpret.

Agree. Playing Schubert, especially his challenging sonatas, can be difficult and risks going awry if not done well. However, if you perform Schubert exceptionally at Leeds, you might be seen as the next Radu Lupu or Eric Lu, both of whom have performed Schubert's D.899 Impromptus brilliantly and won the competition.
