Pally’s casual and fun approach was good and he was my first HOTS streamer but once I improved at the game his play style annoyed me - I wanted a higher level streamer. Followed Nubkeks for a while but then settled on Fan ❤

I graduated from MFPallytime to Fan, I learn alot more about the game by watching you but watching Pally is soo much more relatable. I do really love your Bronze to GM series most in the potato leagues... The chaos and you just 1v9ing is great content :D

Paly also is his own hots announcer, describing the entire battle he is in like a Hispanic soccer announcer 😂

Yes! I would love to see more explanation in your games. Helps me improve as a HotS player. I always get excited for over-explained games. Thanks Fan

Fan explain is also very different from other streamers. It's simple high level details I don't think of much or forget often cause I play lower level.

Pally was my first Hots youtuber I watched, I'm a super casual and only play QM or AI if I'm just learning a hero because I'm bad lol, but that's why I liked pally he plays more casual, I like both of channels tho, and I watch more Fan nowadays, the view builds and low rank shenanigans are always a treat

You do you, Fan. But I would love to hear more about your thought process, more explanation, thoughts on talents and builds as you go through a game, mistakes you or others are making, etc as you play. Pally is very relatable as he feels like he's more my level and makes mistakes that I make. I watch you to get better, but I don't always know what it is you are doing or why, aside from stomping fools and sidestepping out of your mind.
@yargolocus48537 ай бұрын
relating to the viewer experience question; I can't look at the talents you pick if you use crtl + number (or +). it's faster to do that, but it doesn't give the talent popup that always appears for at least one frame if you click it

It does if you look closely actually

Explaining talent choices and how they relate to the game is a good start. They're the least visible decision for viewers, compared to rotations and team fights.

Pally is a joy to watch, and I love how he'll talk through everything that goes through his head during a match. I would definitely prefer some higher level play with explanation though. Great video!

Stopped watching pallytime after I got good at the game. He appeals to the more casual fans, I just hope his commentary doesn’t encourage players to be too casual. Always frustrating when you have bad teammates. I personally find that Fan’s silence forces me to be more observant and learn from his actions & gameplay rather than being told what to think and do. Makes it all the better when he does explain and confirm why something is good or not

I like the comments, helps me keep up with what is in Fan's head!
@rankothefiremage7 ай бұрын
few comments I love using Xul as a split push and he'll likely carry me out of low gold back to plat (after a year break), i use a pure W build with the % dmg shield and poison nova, even more so against stiches as if i get hooked i can do a bunch of damage and with the 20 upgrade on poison nova sometimes walk away from it. I do like when you break down your talent choices, even more so when you're going "off build" from your normal picks. (often people get way too into the 1 true build, as seen by the stupid number of glass cannon mings i see in gold sometimes) When i'm watching a game get cast Pally being a more hype play by play guy is a must, your laid back style wouldn't work for play by play calling, it could work as a color commenter. That said when watching someone talk about their own games while playing the laid back style works. Either way keep up the good work.
@Chwiztid7 ай бұрын
Pally talks out of his butt. You could take 10 to 15 seconds to mouse-over your selected talents when the match ends and that would help a lot.
@DrEru7 ай бұрын
well my watch order was pally grubby fan at the times. After a certain level pally doesn't help in improving gameplay that much. And fan is too silent sometimes. Middle ground is usually grubby. I find this kind of overexlained games really valuable. I think it isn't even overexplained. We should call it explained lel

Dunno, Pally didn't stick with me, I appreciate your vids more, Fan
@Marco-t1n5xАй бұрын
Great overexplained game! Doesn't poison nova do more siege damage with the same cd as the mages? I feel like the mages dying very quick and do very little dmg in comparison to the dmg over time from the nova.

Following the both of you I agree with most of what's been said, Pally definitely covers a much more casual approach, but sometimes watching him makes me cringe from the plays he makes. Funny enough he plays with Fox a lot, who carries him of course. What he does do very well though is explain his plays and decisions, and I kinda miss that from your side, like when you explained your approach of staying near a fight but not engaging, I would have forced an outcome by going into the fight but I can see that what you did was the correct decision, because you explained it. And I do really enjoy watching some high level hots on your channel, I initially did find you quiet by comparison but now I'm used to it :)

Palley is focused on lower level and newer player content in my opinion. When I first started playing I loved watching his videos. I feel the majority of players are low level and that's probably why pally gets more views. I prefer Fan content cause I want to learn about higher levels play. It maybe the case not many people who play hots want to learn high level play.

I like your videos. You could explain a bit more that would be helpful. You don’t need to explain the fights, we can understand by watching. What I’d like to understand more is what talents you pick and why and also sometimes why you go for a certain objective and when to ignore stuff. Thanks for your content it’s really helpful

Yeah Pally is a legacy HoTS creator. I like his commentary but... his games are canned from his Twitch (premade with viewers on both sides) most of the time, so not actually QM which I find fairly unappealing. Then again, true QM is a toxic mess and would probably take 5-10X longer to make vids so i get it.
@NoName-pi3dx7 ай бұрын
To explain, if you look at the name plates in his matches (friendly and enemy) you will see a LOT of familiar names. Fox plays w/ him sometimes, perhaps he can elaborate further.

I'm a long-time Pally viewer, and only recently started catching your streams. My two cents is: I get REALLY turned away when you get salty. Even a little bit of that kills the fun of viewing for me. Things like "these opponents are bad" "boosted bronze tier in GM" etc. Maybe that mentality is part of your good play, but just offering my perspective.

Pallytime is the "video-game streamer" version of "Jim Cramer." (The finance/stock "expert" on TV.) Neither of them present ANYTHING of true substance, but they are (apparently) good clowns, and for SOME REASON people enjoy them...

"From what you've heard"...so in the 8 or 9 years pally has streamed hots and gone to/commentated tons of pro and amateur events, interviewed blizzard on the game and streamed with devs, got millions of views on hots vids, you are just now considering his content? Weirdly disingenuous. I do enjoy your more pro content these days, but your chatters are saying some stupid shit.
@FanHOTS7 ай бұрын
It was never recommended on my YT and he was never involved with HGC the official pro circuit so I didn't even know about him. To assume everyone knew about his content just because you did is what is disingenuous...
