XUM1541 Compendium: Archiving disks, CBMTransfer and C64 emulator VICE

How do you create so-called disk images from physical disks in order to save them on the PC? How can you vice versa bring these images back to real floppy disks to be able to use them on the C64?

Ein sehr interessantes Gerät. Werde ich mir auch auf jeden Fall holen. Mit dracopy von Diskette aufs SD2IEC dauert immer eeeewig, und ich habe meine Heimcomputer noch in einem anderen Zimmer stehen.. Ich denke hiermit wird es wesentlich komportabler.. und schneller...

Also... ich habe es getan und das Gerät bestellt. Ging auch wirklich super schnell, danke dafür! Und nach etwas Fummelei (Installationsanleitungen sind ja was für Weicheier, bis ich mir dann doch das letzte Video dazu angeschaut habe ;-) ) läuft das Gerät an meinem Rechner und ist wirklich richtig flott. Da kann dracopy einpacken. Also das hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt...

Danke für das Video! Hast du eine Empfehlung für ein Programm, womit ich die ganzen D64-Dateien am PC katalogisieren kann (mit Suchfunktion) ? Oft hat es ja mehrere Programme auf einer Diskette, und wenn ich dann nach einem bestimmten Programm suche, habe ich keine Ahnung mehr in welchem D64 es nun steckt.

Hallo - also so direkt weiß ich da auch keine Abhilfe, aber mit dem D64Lister ( www.c64-wiki.de/wiki/D64Lister ) kann man ein Textfile mit den Directorys beliebig vieler D64-Images erstellen lassen. Über Textsuche darin lässt sich dann die D64, in der das gesuchte Programm enthalten ist, recht schnell finden. Ist natürlich nicht der eleganteste Weg, aber immer noch besser, als alles händisch zu machen.

Sehr interessant, welche Winvice Version nutzen Sie ? Weil der Zugriff aufs Laufwerk funktioniert nicht mit allen Versionen.
