In the 1980s, Brazil sent a significant number of workers to Iraq for active participation in building bridges and railways. As a Brazilian citizen, I had the chance to meet a gentleman who worked in Baghdad. He shared his experiences, highlighting Saddam Hussein's frequent presence at the workers' camp. Surprisingly, the Iraqi leader not only joined them for meals but also maintained a courteous and respectful attitude towards Brazilians. Moreover, this gentleman personally witnessed the Israeli airstrikes on Iraq's military facilities. These impactful events, occurring during his time in the country, left a lasting impression on his memory.

What ? So that's the reason my dad encountered a Brazilian while working in Saddam's Iraq
@ernst-gg1eb21 күн бұрын
@@leonelbat I cannot and wish not think what kind of Brazilian citizen you are.. For, during the period of Iraq's history, which you appear to mean, I did via chance or through work requirement meet some Brazilian people, members of companies on work contracts..However, I remember that their first reaction upon sighting a large portrait of saddam on the internal wall of a goverment-run department was to ask: Is this the local dictator? Further discussion over the topic, usually led to recollection of the equally dangerous exploits of the military dictatorship in Brazil, at the time... Well, I can affirmingly say, judging by the naivity of your comment, you are one of those quite easily duped by cheap propaganda films and even cheaper propaganda diszeminated by paid stooges of a horrifically brutal and totalitarian regime.. The regime of saddam hussein forbade any truthful worker representation.. In the 80's during the Iraq Iran war, saddam officially abolished the term "worker" and replaced it with "government employee", disentitising all worker unions.. As to eating with the people, it may interst you to know that saddam employed a full staff of food tasters.. His food had to be tasted each and every time before he sampled it... This is not to mention that during the very same period when he was preparing Iraq's public opinion for the war with Iran, his security forces were actively engaged in the mass deportation of Faili Kurds to Iran, under the ruse of these Shiite Kurds being Iranian.. Hundreds of thousands, i cluding women and children and the elderly were dumped on a freezing inhumane border, already militarily mined in many sections thereof.. Those who were not immediately deported, including those serving in Iraq's armed forces; were either put under unspecified protective custody or interned within secret camps, where they were used by the regime for testing biological agents.. Please, revist videos of the trials of the baathist leaders in the Faili Kurd case.. Starting in 1987, the regime adopted comprehensive military plans to completely quel the Kurdish people's aspirations and any vestige of independence.. These military plans led to the implementation of the notorious Anfal campaigns, which were marked by active and frequent use of chemical weapons against the civilian Kurdish population in the north of Iraq.. The Iraqi airforce's attack with chemical weapons against the township of Halanja, on 16th March 1988 is case in point.. These chemical attacks were waged, as transpired in the relevant court case, on direct orders by saddam himself.. Two drops in the ocean, compared to the heinous mass of crimes perpetrated by the criminal baathist regime and its convicted leader saddam hussein..

When Iraq resisted the American invasion and Saddam was martyred, meanwhile the government of coward Musharraf (America's poodle) facilitated US invasion of Afghanistan by giving bases, sent Pak Army to fight for America in FATA and secretly allowed American dr0ne strikes. Such a difference between the leaders, one bravely fought until the end - defending his country to the last, the other totally surrendered without a single shot and sold his country in exchange for money.
