I agree, it does look cool and is unique amongst other guitar stands and is obviously a quality piece of design and manufacture. If I was just looking for a cool guitar stand for home it would be great, but as a functional piece of gear that I would take to gigs, rehearsals etc. there is one drawback for me and that is that even folded it takes up a fair bit of space in a bag (its "footprint" so to speak). I ended up with a Hercules GS402BB. It folds the X and Z axis (so to speak) while the XVive only folds in the X axis. So the Hercules takes up very little room. It is a utilitarian design however and I understand you are looking at form as well as function. Now if the XVive could fold its arms up, then it would be an absolute killer for me.

Thanks for showing this. As I was watching I thought, thats worth about $100 AUD (Australia) but probably costs a lot more. I looked it up and its selling for $125 which is surprisingly reasonable, for a well engineered piece of kit.

Possible con: a true tripod with distinct feet and more clearance would be more immediately stable in a selected uneven or cluttered space. Namely, the length of strut parallel to the floor on this unit might be obstructed by things that need to pass under it. Mind, if the floor is level and clear, then no problems! But if the supporting lower crossbars on the forward "legs" arched a bit higher, it might avoid such issues as, say, hypothetically, a venue with an ad hoc "stage" featuring a perpetually folded over and lumpy carpet (which nobody ever seems to have the time to properly flatten out because you'd have to move the backline off it first, and who can even be bothered, right?! ENTIRELY THEORETICAL, I assure you!)
