What i love about this era is the fact the album is called Alive. They had overcome so much and having to constantly prove to netizens and many international fans the mistakes and accidents that happen before 2012. The scandals that happens prior and the possible disbanding that could of happened. Fantastic Baby, Blue, Bad Boy are still so close to my heart. This is the era that I found BigBang as a group. Checkpoint 2 #2... Love this song. Learned that it's not really a thing in Korean to associate the color blue with sadness, but that the song is remiscent of the blue skies of spring after winter, so like renewal and rebirth, hope. But, there's definitely the undertones of sadness regarding the past, the meaning of blue as it is in western terms, so, it's a double meaning, and GDragon who wrote this song is a genius. Watch some earlier vids of theirs - I think you'd really like Lies and Haru Haru.

BIGBANG is not your typical kpop boy group for than a decade they do mkst of the genre of music. You'll be amaze for their ballads, pop and reggae type songs. And one thing I'm proud of, they write and produce their songs (checked their Album credits) GD having at the age of 13 started writing his rap at age of 1e after hearung Wu Tang Clan amd since then constantly writing his and BIGBANG music. You're right. It takes practice to develop that skills.

So far you've seen bigbang's cool & fun side, though they're just naturally cool, so it's good that you're seeing this calmer side of them. As someone pointed out, thanks to them other idol groups followed in their footsteps & became involved in songwriting/producing. Jiyong (known as GD or G Dragon & the leader of bigbang) is one of the best, if not the best, in the business.
