I am 43. I dimissed this kid because of his image and what was said about him. I even dissed his music. After his death I took a second look. This kid was intelligent, articulate, good hearted, and talented. It turns out his troubled past came from adandoment in his youth. Typical, to act out for attention and love. Yet , seems like things were turning around for him. Seems like he was evolving from drepression to positivity. It was even released that his charges of domestic violence were dropped when evidence surfaced that his girlfriend Geneva lied. I was wrong. "Out of the mouth of babies." XXX was young enough to be my son. I am well established and educated; yet, this kid changed my perspective on things by viewing his posts and listening to his thoughts. He definitely taught me not to judge a book by its cover; a lesson I thought I already knew. I appreciated his life and mourn his loss. We lost a beautiful soul. RIP young man.

I too,had very similar thoughts as yourself regarding the type of person i perceived this young man to be just from the way he looked. I discovered him by chance (A.D.) and began to watch him as he shared his thoughts and ideas on many of the issues affecting his generation. Wise beyond his years, I commend him for living his own truth and for trying in his very own unique way to bring HOPE to those dealing with similar situations. EMPATHY & UNDERSTANDING. I mean they don't really ruin music, it's just that some of their acts make artists look bad and if one has toxic fanbase (those that most of the time consist of little kids) even if they're not the majority their actions speak leaps and bounds more than a normal comment. IMO they corrupt fanbases and artists, also dealing a heavy blow in the artists reputation, which can lead to some creators stopping their growth and changing their content making their initial fans leave or become so "haters". I have actually stopped listening to multiple artists for that reason alone and know that it can affect anyone moderately famous with accesible content. I mean that's cool and all but IDK what it has to do XXXTentacion. The more popular some things get the worse they become ! : )
