This is the electronic press kit that was made to promote Geddy Lee's My Favorite Headache album in 2000. I'm trying as hard as I can not to upload stuff that's already on youtube but in this case I just realized that the copy that's already up is in a much lower resolution compared to the one I have. So, enjoy!

Sanson101 ya, like the great Geddy Lee is going to hire out as a "bass player" the guy is a literal phenomenon within the world of music!!! Please!! The man literally wrote the book on heavy rock music bass playing, as well as set the standard for live on stage multiple instrument playing. Not even to address singing, other than Robert Plant, or maybe David Surkamp (Pavlov's Dog, for the uninitiated) that can ever touch him!!!

You can tell how much of Geddy's growth period here spilled into Rush's 21st century sound. More groove, more vocal harmonies, more of that gorgeous, orchestral approach to those more tender moments of the music. Very important record and so underrated.

This album really shows how important Geddy was to Rush. Each track on this album is brilliantly written, my favorite being Grace To Grace. I think this album is almost like a rush album, but twisted in a way where Geddy is mainly speaking to you musically and lyrically. Absolutely love this album, it’s so underrated and I definitely recommend every Rush fan or any fan of Geddy to at least listen to this once and give it shot.

Geddy did an awful lot of press for this album (a whole lot of which you can see on my channel) and I think if Neil hadn't wanted to rejoin Rush shortly after this album's release Geddy may have done some limited touring for it. It would have been interesting, but I'm happier that Neil came back. Thanks for the comment!

Fan of all things RUSH since 1978. Beyond the music, it’s been nice getting to know the Three Kings’ personalities by drips and dribbles over the decades. Their intellect, great humor (especially Al and Ged together), refreshing humility whilst being so great, sharing the tragedies, albeit obliquely and from a distance and their sincere gratitude to us their loyal fans to be able to be Alex, Geddy and Neil RIP! Thank YOU, Gentlemen!

Geddy's solo album is absolutely FANTASTIC! I did not know what to expect. I hoped that it was not simply another RUSH album but was still melodic and rockin' with great melodies and hooks. It is ALL of that and I was NOT disappointed. "My Favorite Headache" is an excellent album. If I recall correctly, the title refers to a conversation that Geddy was having with a man that had been married a very long time. When asked how he felt about his wife, he said something like: "Well, I do love her dearly, but sometimes she drives me crazy. She is my favorite headache!"

I was so happy to have it as a bridge between 'Test for Echo' and 'Vapor Trails' while Neil was recovering from his tragic loss of both his DAUGHTER, and then a few months later his WIFE, and Rush's future was in doubt. Geddy was getting ready to tour this solo effort when Neil got in touch with him and Alex to say he was ready to return, and Geddy put RUSH ahead of his own Album!
