If you want a good reason as to why, people with English as a second/third/more language are primed to hear English with an accent. Native speakers have an expectation that this group is Korean (or Asian at the very least) and immediately expect not-english and dont listen closer because the song starts in Korean and when it does switch to English, most are invested in it being in Korean to far to realize that most of the song is in English. My super late reply to this. (I teach English to small Korean kids and am used to hearing English spoken with a heavy accent, and none of them really have a heavy accent here. Jimin is the only one who I would say overemphasizes in some places, which makes it harder to hear what word he meant, but overall the four of them who sank/rapped in English all did justice to the pronunciation ^^)

One of my favorite songs is The Last by AGUST D (or Suga, a member of BTS) the lyrics are so deep, they are about his own experience with mental health (depression, social anxiety), it doesn't have a music video but a fanmade one with the lyrics in english so if you do react to it, pay attention to the lyrics please.
