The show got cancelled, but it ended in a way if it didn't get a 2nd season at least it got a proper ending.

This show is better than what most people thought back when it was first released; even Jack's voice actor had a low opinion about it. Still, Xyber 9 should have been an anime, instead. The way the plot was framed left many loose ends that could have been solved if the writers used more anime cliches like long flashbacks (think about it: how did Jack get his gauntlet, and who told him about Ikira? They never show you!). The problem is that there already is a Xyber 9 anime: “B’t X” (the gauntlet, the sentient robot best friend, the super armor that gives the hero access to terrifying firepower, a robotic abomination whose only weakness is light? It’s all there.) Talk about weird synchronicities.
